4.0 out of 5 stars Works excellently., November 30, 2005

This review is from: SuperPen Graphics Tablet (Electronics)
I'm quite satisfied with this tablet even though it's thinner than most tablets around. The surface of it is easier for me to work on and more durable than the other tablet I owned.

The only thing bad about it is that it doesn't have a lot of space due to the "buttons" on it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very cheaply and poorly made, November 1, 2006
This review is from: SuperPen Graphics Tablet (Electronics)
I bought this based on the good reviews, and now I regret it. The pen for my tablet stopped working and when I opened it up to check the battery I could not believe how shoddy the construction was. When I tried to put the pen back together, it broke!

The installation disk is NOT XP compatible, you have to download a patch just to install it. None of the included software is XP compatible either.

The tablet that I recieved looks different from the one pictured here. I do not know if Think Geek has replaced the tablet that they used to sell with a "equivelent" model, but what you get now is JUNK!

5.0 out of 5 stars That's a Surprise, October 10, 2006
This review is from: SuperPen Graphics Tablet (Electronics)
Okay, so when I got this tablet in the mail, I was a little surprised. It was very thin, very lightweight. However, I went at setting it up with gusto anxious to get started.
I didn't have any problems with setting up or anything else. In fact, it was very straightfoward and simple, basically plug in and go.
Furthermore, the pressure sensitivity took a little getting used to. As an artist, I am used to holding my pencil to the side when I sketch, but with the tablet, I found I had to hold the pen vertically to obtain the best results. Also, I found you had to press a little harder to get the thicker lines.
All in all, for only around fifty bucks, this was a great deal. I've looked around for other graphic tablets and I have to say that this was the best at a reasonable price. Also, the "Hot Spots", which are shortcut commands, was really nice.
One last thing: I liked how I didn't have to drag the pen around on the tablet. It was very sensitive when I held it a few inches above the surface and moved wherever I wanted it to.
Since I bought this, I decided to make a manga, and I this tablet is a great helper for my CG artwork.
I highly recommend it!
