very leaky and not very durable,
By
This review is from: Thinkbaby BPA Free No Spill Sippy Cup, Orange/Natural, 9 Ounce (Baby Product)
first the good--I am giving it two stars because even though it wasn't good for long term use, for the first few weeks when we started introducing the sippy cup, this was a very helpful sippy cup to have. you can get a nipple to use instead of the sippy spout and it helps your child transition.
now the bad--I understand that this is not a leak proof sippy cup. I didn't want a leak proof sippy. I keep reading about oral development and I am going with sippy cups without valves. that said, this sippy leaks so much! I put the milk in the cup, close it up, put the cap on, and put it upright in the pocket in the diaper bag. the diaper bag stays upright and so does the sippy cup. by the time we get to the store or daycare the cap is full of milk and there is a puddle in the diaper bag. none of our other valveless sippy cups leak like this one! also, it isn't very durable. the orange ring broke after about a month and a half of use. my daughter dropped her sippy cup on the floor, as toddlers often do (either intentionally or unintentionally), and the ring cracked in half. none of our other sippy cups have had this problem and they have all been dropped a lot.

THE TRANSITION CUP!,
This review is from: Thinkbaby BPA Free No Spill Sippy Cup, Orange/Natural, 9 Ounce (Baby Product)
I've tried everything and couldn't wean my daughter off the bottle! So I decided to buy a cup that looked like a bottle. This worked great! She took it immediately, and I never had to give her a bottle again. After a week she grabbed onto the Nuk cups then. I recommend this, I only wish I would've purchased it a long time ago! I will save it for a child in the future. ADVICE: if you use the handles, the cup tends to leak, I chucked the handles and it NEVER leaked again.

After purchasing this cup we immediately noticed that it has substantial leaks around the rim of the cup when it is turned upside down. It also appeared to not have proper airflow because when it was used the nipple would get sucked back in the bottle. I called Thinkbaby and they said that people like their cups because they don't leak. I was advised to return the cup to Amazon.com for a replacement. I did and was disappointed that the new cup did the exact same thing. I will not purchase anything else from this company.

What Happened?,

My son loved these and adapted to them very quickly, drinking formula out of them like they were regular bottles. At first I loved them too, he couldn't make a huge mess when he held the cup upside down. The only thing I didn't like at first was it is impossible to line up the handle with the spout after the first use. Then about a month after he started using them they began to leak. They leak from both the rim and the tip. The last time he used it there was milk everywhere.

I am quite frustrated with this product. It seemed like the perfect no BPA, environmentally friendly transition Sippy cup. However, they leak and they leak all the time! My boys are great about drinking out of them but no matter how tight i put the cap on or how i hold it, they always leak. I tried getting in touch with Thinkbaby to see if there was a resolution and the customer service has proven to be non-existent. Each time I've called, they don't answer the phone (during normal business hours). So I am returning this and moving on to something else. I don't recommend these at all.

The problem....
When my kids transitioned from baba to cup there went drinking milk.. Not sure why they just didn't want to drink milk out of a cup.... I tried sparkly cups, talking cups, regular ole' cups, cups with straws, cups with lids, light up cups....well you get it. Then I found this, its kind of close to a bottle, my 2 year old drinks milk again, thank goodness....... Problem solved.. The only thing is that I've purchased/reordered more that one of these and they're two different cups, similar yes and they both are 95% spill proof, but one has a crooked spout and one has a straight one. Love this cup plan on buying more....

I bought this for my daughter who's supposed to be transitioning from the bottle. She drinks water out of sippy cups, but not milk. It seemed promising at first - she liked the spout and drank from it, slowly, but by the end of that feeding session she was soaked - bad leaking. For feeding session number 2, I tightened the lid way down and that took care of the leaking, but now the nipple would collapse and it became difficult for her to get milk out. You could hear the vacuum release when unscrewing the top, then the nipple would re-inflate, and she could drink a tiny bit more, then repeat the whole thing. In summary, for this thing to work it needs to vent, which it will do if you don't screw the top on super-tight, but then you'll have leaks. My daughter got so frustrated with it that now she just bats it away. I'm returning this cup, it's unusable for us.

Not So Fantastic Anymore,

My twins took to these the first time I introduced sippy cups to them at 6 months. They were switched over from the bottle in a day. The cups did not leak at first and seemed like a dream. However, with each suck, the cross slit for the spout gets more and more worn. They leak horribly once the slit gets bigger and the babies cry out like they are drowning. My only option is to replace them or buy a whole new set of sippy cups. So far we have replaced the spouts 3 times in 4 months. We are now looking into replacing the cups completely. With their bottles - they had the same nipples for 6 months.

Easy to clean and good size for a growing baby. The nipple breaks easily though. My baby loves chewing on it and I've only owned this for a short time but its already broken. I guess that's what the replacement nipples are for. I wouldn't really recommend this product, quite pricey too.

This cup leaks every time I use it so now I don't even use it for my daughter. I wish I didn't waste the $ on it.
