About the Author

Dr. Philip Cam is Head of the School of Philosophy at the University of New South Wales in Australia, and former president of the Philosophy for Children Assn of NSW. Traits fostered by the use of philosophical inquiry in the classroom include: cooperation, trust, respect, intellectual risk-taking, self-correction, tolerance, responsibility and reasoning. He has taught Philosophy for Children at schools and universities in Australia and overseas, and is the editor of the "Thinking Stories" series.
