About the Author

Eric Coultoff grew up on Long Island, New York, and he spent most of the time playing sports. Basically self taught as a golfer, he and his brother learned to play the game by hopping the fence at Eisenhower Park, and completing as many holes as possible before getting chased by the rangers. As a professional, Eric has become a student of Bob Toski.

Since graduating from Binghamton University in 1993, and after a brief stint in the corporate world, Eric has been a touring professional. He has competed on many mini-tours including the South Florida Tour, The Teardrop Tour, and the Nike Tour (now called the Buy.com Tour). He has been trained to be a certified PGTCA Class A instructor. Eric has served as a location director in upstate New York at the famed Concord Resort. Currently, Eric continues to teach golf schools as well as arranging and running corporate outings for companies who wish to reward their executives, or entertain their clients.

During the past few years, Eric has developed an appreciation and knowledge for the strategic side of golf. He has long felt that most players should be able to score better with the physical skills that they already have. He does not want to imply that practice is a waste of time. The purpose of this book is to get the best score possible from the physical skills that you have gained as a result of proper practice.

Now here's a book that can lower your golf scores. Eric Coultoff has presented a simple set of questions to guide a player in managing his/her game through each hole, including the process of putting smartly. Best yet, this small book fits in your golf bag.

I found this book one of the easy books to follow and out of all the golf books I have read this one helped me the most. This book will bring anyone who follows it low scores on the golf course! I thought that the clear drawings made it very easy to understand and fun to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very easy to understand book., November 29, 2000
This review is from: Thinking Your Way Around the Golf Course : Solid Decision Making to Lead to Better Scoring (Spiral-bound)
Every golf book that I read just adds to my confusion. This one is simple, interesting, and has allready improved my scores. Mr Coultoff takes what can be a complicated subject, and explains it with patience and understanding. I can only hope that he will do the same thing in his next book about the swing itself.
