Of all the Bibles I own, which are many, this NIV Thinline, large print edition is my favorite. It has two-columns per page with a 11-point type large print which is actually large as compared with most other Bibles that are advertised as large print.
If you're wanting a Bible that's easy to carry, with print that's easy to read, without the all the bells and whistles that comes with those bulky study Bibles, this is the one for you. This Bible does not include references or study notes, nor is there any room in the side margins for writing notes being barely 1/8th inch wide. It includes a 60-page concordance, 8 pages of maps, and a weights and measures chart. If I had to look for a downside to this Bible it would be that the paper has some bleedthrough, ie., you can just make out the print on the opposite side of the page. But I've gotten used to it, and it's not a distraction any longer. The binding is Smyth-sewn and sturdy, but will lay flat on the desk regardless to what page you're reading.

My husband and I went to many different bookstores looking for a quality bible to give to our children on their babtism. We finally gave up and I suggested Amazon, we found exactly what we wanted and at a very reasonable price. I would HIGHLY recommend this bible to anyone.
