Top Grain leather is exquisite. The print, font, binding are superb. Eventually this version (NIV 1984) will not be available.The 2011 updated version will replace the 1984 version & the TNIV.This version is NOT gender neutral like the new version.Zondervan got it right with this 2005 Top Grain leather version * 11-point type large print edition * Most read, most trusted NIV translation * Extra-thin size--both regular and large print editions measure less than one inch thick * Double-column format * NIV dictionary/concordance for quick and easy reference * 8-page full-color map section (except softcover edition) * Promises and Perspectives from the Bible included in back matter * 8-page presentation section (except softcover edition) * Words of Christ in red letter. If you can spare the extra money for Top Grain Leather, I recommend that you make this purchase. You may NEVER have the opportunity to purchase this version in the future. |
