The NIV ThinLine Bible published by Zondervan, like all the rest of the publications coming out this company, is exceptional! The thin profile of the bible, the large (but not ridiculous) font size, and the book indexes make this a very usable volume for study. The paper used is beautiful, and the leather binding/workmanship really finishes well. I have purchased four of these bibles to date and have been extremely satisfied with the quality of each one received.

Not only an extremely attractive Bible, but so easy to use. Look up during sermons and at leisure are so much easier to find with the indented tabs, and without all the study notes and crossreferences, the pages make sense. High value especially for the learning disabled who confuse so easily. And even high value for those who just want to enjoy the verse or message on hand without all the confusion of study bibles. Large print is wonderful, and the size of the thinline is exceptional.

I was looking for gifts for two of my friends who recently joined a church that used the New Internation Version of the Bible. They both need fonts that are larger than the norm. I purchased these for Christmas and they were exactly what I wanted. They have the thumb index and the font is a nice size - not giant but easy to read for them. They both enjoyed their gifts and use them regularly.

It's the word God, what more can you say! Well I can say that my wife loves this Bible, it's very easy for her to read and very easy to carry around. At church, its light weight and does not strain her arms when holding the Bible open.

I've had this version for 6 months and find it to be the most convenient Bible I've ever had. The excellent quality of thin paper makes the book thin and light weight and not at all uncomfortable to carry or have on lap. The pages open virtually flat. The thumb index tabs are a plus. The print style appears to be "Times New Roman" 11 font and is easy to read with nice margins. Bottom line: this Bible is a delight to read with no strain at all.

Got what I wanted and think is great. Is thin and large print as described. Large print good for elderly to read.

This Bible is small enough to carry around with ease, and the words are large enough for anyone to read. I actually searched for this Bible based on one like it made in the 80s.

The overall look of the Bible is very nice, and the font is a nice size for a Bible this compact. However, the pages are so thin that the type bleeds through the back of the page, making it very difficult to read. The type on the page I want to read is cluttered by the type bleeding through from the back side of the page. Even though I have good eyesight, there is no way I'll use this as a daily reader. Very disappointed.

No doubt about this bible. It is produced in a well manner. The word "thinline" means the thickness of the bible, yes it is true thin because of the specific paper that the manufacture used, the thickness of the bible has reduced by more than half the regular bible. You will enjoy it. The print is also good, for people that wear glasses, this will help very much. However, I give 4 star just because the size of the bible is still the same size like any regular bible, I mean in length and width. So, it is not portable enough. If you are looking for a portable bible, you may want to find a smaller size that fit in your purse or pocket.

I love this Bible. It is perfect for taking to Sunday School and church. It really is about an inch thick Easy to hold and read and easy to find passages. I would recommend everyone to buy one. I have looked for years for one like this.
