Thinner Scale by Conair TH304 Glass Body Fat and Hydration Analysis Scale

I was attracted to all the great features of this scale - not just weight, but percent body fat, water, and bone percentage. All in a very attractive simple design with a glass base.

However, to my shock the scale read about 10 pounds higher than the truth - as verified by simulaneous weighings of myself and my wife on three independent scales of different types - digital as well as the old-fashion sliding weight type found in our doctor's office and in our gym. All three other scales agreed with +/- one pound, but the Thinner TH304 Glass Body Fat and Hydration Analysis Scale read 9-10 pounds high for both of us!

That's no good, so I returned the scale.

Our 3 yr experience with the TH300, presumably built on the same technology as the TH304, is an abject disappointment. Far too many times it gives 3 different readings in a 1.5-2.0 variance within a 5 minute time frame on the same solid flooring surface. Take it to another noncarpeted flooring surface and different readings will show. Conair's web site is of no help. It's emphasis is on selling products, not customer service. This is the second Conair product that we have had within 3 yrs. that has failed to perform. We'll avoid the brand in the future and recommend that others do the same.

Everyday I have a different weight in this scale. I checked up at my doctors office and it was off by 8 pounds.

I am buying a second scale for another bathroom. I have used this one every day for five years now and it is still working good. It is very accurate and easy to use. I like the body fat percentage.

This scale was dead on arrival. I'm now trying to figure out what to do with it.
