This disc starts out with "The Way You Make Me Feel", a cover of a Michael Jackson song that Charles smokes on. No let up.
His bass playing foot pedals stand out. What a powerful, pulsing, great-sounding bass.
The solid playing and arrangements continue till the end of the record.
I liked the updated, more contemporary/modern sound to this record by Charles compared to early works from him (like his famous Black Talk).
Recommended.

I ordered this CD for my husband. He was estatic. This is one of his favorite jazz musicians. The price was great also. I definitely will be ordering again.

A good listen. I was expecting more mind blowing stuff given that the album featured geniuses like David and Grover.
