A really enthralling read!,

This review is from: The Third Person (Paperback)
This book kept me glued all the way through, couldn't put it down for a minute. The narrative is amazing and this book is equally likely to leave you laughing, crying and looking within yourself. Steve is obviously an up and coming new talent in British fiction. I'm looking forward to his next book immensely.

Original but very dark,

This review is from: The Third Person (New Blood) (Paperback)
Until about half way through I found the story good and although the subject matter is quite dark and disturbing I liked the premise of hunting down a killer in a chat room. However I found myself literally losing the plot about two thirds through.
Mosby has some good original ideas and has a talent for character observations and feelings, but I had to re-read passages to try and clarify them which spoilt my enjoyment of the book. Maybe it's par for the course with the subject matter it contains, but I felt there was a depressing air hanging over the whole story. |
