Month By Month,
This review is from: The Third Reich Day By Day (Paperback)
Disregard the review next to mine, if you look at the length/size of this book you'll realize it's not for some scholarly person with a BA in history. Book is very informative and provides lots of pictures and captions. The pictures used I noticed are not pictures you'll generally see in other WWII books so that was a nice addition. The title is a little deceptive because it doesn't go day by day but more like month by month. The book spans a very long era starting at the very birth of the Nazi regime but seems like the author might spend a lot of time focusing on the beginning of the Nazi's and really rushed the ending of the book just briefly touching base on the last years of the war. Good supplementary read for someone but certainly not going to make you a WWII scholar.

This review is from: The Third Reich Day by Day (Hardcover)
I was hoping this book would provide a detailed chronology of the anti-Semitic legislation of Hitler's Germany. Wrong! This is just a pop history overview that is not much good for the scholar, who knows everything it contains anyway, or for the more casual reader, who will be left frustrated by the lack of real explanation of events. Move on to something better, or if that is not available, keep looking.
