Charlie Fox is back in rare form,
This review is from: Third Strike: A Thriller (Charlie Fox Thrillers) (Hardcover)
Loved it!! Have got all of Zoe Sharp's Charlie Fox books. Think it was Road Kill that wasn't my personal favorite but it has been a couple of years since I read it. This one Zoe Sharp has got Charlie back on target. This was actually one of those books that had me hooked from page one. Sat down and started it on a Saturday afternoon and had to make myself put it down to go to bed and got up Sunday morning and finished it. Been a long time since I have found a book that made everything else wait until I finished it. I read the Charlie Fox books in order which maybe that is why I liked this one so much, liked the whole more personal aspect with Charlie and her parents and with Sean. Cannot wait for the next one to see what happens with her and Sean.

Sorry, I cannot recommend. The protagonist is over-the-top enmeshed with her family of origin. The depth of anger expressed is eye-opening. I think the author has "issues". Not much fun to read.

one of the worst books i've ever read.was unable to suspend my disbelief sufficiently to have any sympathy with it. a drug in testing has a disastrous effect on an asian patient. from this our heroes concoct a conspiracy to (I) hide the test results by the venal corporate drug manufacturer,(ii) capture a biological death weapon by some treasonous, rogue government agents and (iii) solve the family and romantic problems of a group of the most dysfunctional people i have ever met. this one belongs in the outhouse, one page at a time. -art pape
