History in perspective,
By M. Ehteshamzadeh (Oak Run, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Third Time Around: The History of the Pro-Life Movement from the First Century to the Present (Paperback)
Third Time Around, by George Grant, is by far the most thorough and scholarly account, that I have seen, of heroes through the centuries. Their stories teach us that the the struggle to preserve life never ends. Many of these men and women sacrificed lives of comfort or luxury to follow their calling. Others used their authority, influence, or affluence to bring about changes that saved lives. Many were martyred. You will be amazed at how many times victory has been won for the unwanted, only to see them threatened again in another time or under another ruler. That it has been won so many times before should be an encouragement to all who love babies, the handicapped, and others of the most vulnerable among us!

This review is from: Third Time Around: The History of the Pro-Life Movement from the First Century to the Present (Paperback)
Third Time Around is the most comprehensive historical review of the ongoing fight for the sanctity of human life I have read to date. So many men and women, from ordinary to influential, have sacrificed their lives throughout the centuries for the unborn, abandoned and displaced because of their deep faith in God and His directive to care for the poor and oppressed - I was astounded! I learned much about this ongoing battle that I never knew. This is a history lesson we all would benefit from reading.
