A sound all their own,
By El Bee "LB" (Metroplex) - See all my reviews

I bought "Third Transmission" by Experimental Aircraft when it was first released. This is awesome, original, indie music by a band that has carved out their own musical niche. These artists have worked hard for years to keep their sound real and alive and it truly shows on this record. Half a dozen songs alone on this record are each worth the full price of the CD. I have seen this band live and they tore up the venue with a wall of sound only they can produce. I started playing drums at age 15 and let me tell you that the precussion hater from Chicago in the last review does not have a clue. EA's drummer is totally in sync with their sound and has never hit a bad lick in his life.

My review of Experimental Aircraft - Third Transmission,

Third Transmission arrived swiftly and in excellent condition. I have been listening to it pretty much non-stop since I got it. I am a huge fan of both indie-rock and shoegaze music, and this disc delivers the best of both. Highly recommended!

What's with the drummer? He sounds like he's trying to steal the show at a high school battle of the bands. Ease up on the cymbals and try for a little more understatement, dude.
Anyway, everything else about the album is great. Very good psychedelic guitars, a lot of cool noise, great male/female vocals, and a ton of songs. My advice is to try to steal the drummer from The Black Angels - she already lives in Austin and she'd be a huge upgrade.
