5.0 out of 5 stars AWSOME
Hey, I loved this book. It was great. Bethel really is the type who doesn't spend time with guys. But at a meet, she sees this cute guy. But hes in 7th grade. Jessica tries to get Bethel to go out with him but shes not so sure. I 'd like to see more on whats going on with Elizabeth and Salvador. I think they have and interesting situation. I can't wait for THREE DAYS...

2.0 out of 5 stars What was Bethel thinking?
Bethel falls for a seventh grader! This book is totally unrealistic. No 8th grader in their right mind would ever fall 4, let alone date a 7th grader!

4.0 out of 5 stars Bethel + Jameel?, September 2, 2000
This review is from: Third Wheel (Sweet Valley Jr. High No. 12) (Paperback)
I like Bethel, and I think she was fine without a boyfriend. It seems like writers today want to pair everyone up! But I do like Jameel, and I think Bethel could have been nicer to him. He did bug her a lot but she was pretty rude when he was super nice to her all the time. I was glad in the end she decided to dance with him at the Beach Blowout. (btw, I know in #18 they are b/f and g/f) Damon and Jessica also have some little misunderstandings- Damon thinks something is wrong with Jessica because she's so out of it all the time (she's just very tired- read the book to find out why) and Jessica thinks that Damon doesn't like her anymore because he hasn't asked her to the blowout. But things work out in the end! This book wasn't my favorite, but it was still okay.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Book!, January 2, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Third Wheel (Sweet Valley Jr. High No. 12) (Paperback)
This was an awesome book! I totally love this series. Here's a little bit about the book: Everybody has is a part of couple (it seems) but Bethel. That's before she meets toally cute and athletis Jameel. She falls for him at once, but then she realizes he's only in 7th grade! Bethel tries to convince everyone-and herself- that she doesn't like him, and even bets on it. Well, you read the rest. This book also tells a lot about the relationship between Damon and Jessica. You find out some stuff abut Salvador too. I would definetly read this book and this whole series because it's AWESOME!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bethel feels like a third wheel between Jess and Renee., April 16, 2005
This review is from: Third Wheel (Sweet Valley Jr. High No. 12) (Paperback)
When her older sister,Renee comes home from College,Bethel wants to be fast runner. Renee is the perfect student. Jamell like Bethel, but I think Bethel likes Jamel too. She does feel like a third wheel that come between Renee,Jessica and Jamell.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bethel the Third Wheel, February 23, 2005
So what if Bethel would rather run than make kissy faces at a boy? So what if everyone else would rather make kissy faces than anything else? That doesn't mean that Bethel has to. Just because everyone else has a boyfriend doesn't mean that she has to drop everything in search of some guy. But the funny thing is, she doesn't have to search, because the guy that she just might like has finished his search...and it's ended with Bethel. But he can only go so far with poems, notes, and explanations before the entire school is looking at the two as some kind of entertainment. After all, "the guy" is a seventh grader.

This was a good book. Not the best I've read, but interesting. It also talked about Jessica and Damon's relationship a little bit, and Salvador's parents coming to visit. That was pretty interesting, since Salvador doesn't get along great with his parents. Overall, I recommend it if you like the SVJH series.

4.0 out of 5 stars just right!, July 7, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Third Wheel (Sweet Valley Jr. High No. 12) (Paperback)
it was pretty much a good book, except that the author kept stressing the fact that Bethel liked Jameel but she didn't want to admit it. I liked the way Damon and Jessica's relationship was mentioned in away that makes fans want to buy the next book.

By A Customer
This review is from: Third Wheel (Sweet Valley Jr. High No. 12) (Paperback)
THIS BOOK WAS TOTALLY BORIIIINNNGGG! IT ONLY IS ABOUT BETHEL'S PROBLEM ABOUT ASKING JAMEEL, A 7TH GRADER OUT. I MEAN, WHY CAN'T JAMEEL JUST STOP BUGGING HER AND WRITING HER POEMS AND JUST LAY OFF? AND YOU KKOW WHAT'S REALLY STUPID! JAMEEL ENDS UP NOT BUGGING HER ANYMORE, BETHEL DOESN'T LIKE THAT, AND DANCES WITH JAMEEL! DDDUUUUMMMMBBBB! I'M DISAPOINTED! I WOULD THINK PASCAL COULD DO BETTER!
