Very cool feature.

I like how the insert is attached to the diaper but open on both ends so more inserts can be added if needed/wanted!

Our guy is a heavy wetter and gets really upset when his diaper is wet.

I cant say enough how much I love thirsties diapers. My older 2 kids, I had the older style of diaper and I am still using them now on my third baby and they are just starting to show a little age but holding up great. But I do take good care of them. Now with my newest baby I bought a few of these new diapers and more of the covers and I love them even more than the last version of these. These ones make it easier for doublers to stay in place... at night I use 2 doublers. And during the day I swap between these fab fitted and the OsoCozy better fit prefold diapers in the Thirsties Cover. I would like the all- in -one version, but to keep some cost down I also use those prefolds, that way I dont need as many since I can use the covers multiple times. I also like the diaper and cover to be seperate because: with the fab fitted diaper I can soak them in OxyClean to remove any poo stains and then I wash, and then wash a second time with the covers with only the free and clear soap. And it works GREAT! They are nice and soft and stay on snug... And too, a few times I used disposables and had poo blow up the front and back... with these, I NEVER had that mess happen. Couldnt be happier here. I do like the snaps because they are easier to wash.... but over-all I prefer the aplix(velcro) because its easier and faster to change a diaper... Now if only they were a little cheaper. BUT I use exclusively cloth diaper (unless Im on vacation) and I figured it all out that what I spend on these would cost me 2 1/2-3 mos of disposables. And that is for 2 kids. My 3 year old still needs diapers for nap and night so I also use the prefolds with the size Large cover for him. I also can use the size two but for some reason the size Large seems to have a little more room around the leg.Read more ›

I have searched and searched for a night time diaper for my heavy wetter. He is almost 9 months old and has soaked through Tiny tush, bummis easy fits, rumparooz, bumgenius, knickernappes, swaddlebees and even disposables(Pampers baby dry)which we resorted to in desperation so we wouldn't have to make a middle of the night change of his diaper and clothes. We even used large and small hemp inserts. I think one of the problems with the aforementioned diapers is that our little boy is a tummy sleeper. Every time he woke up wet, the front of the diaper would be soaked (and his clothes) and the back of the diaper would still be dry - even the hemp insert. LOTS of leaks, anywhere from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. Somehow changing a tired, kicking, screaming baby is not a fun in the middle of the night chore when you're deepest desire is to just sleep! Wet clothes are not fun to get off, and then wiping them while they are getting colder and more and more wide awake so it takes you longer to get them back to sleep....

Anyway, back to this diaper. I bought one to try. The first night we made it until 5 a.m. pairing it with a thirsties duo wrap. I was impressed but wanted to make sure it wasn't just a light night. I washed it and dried it again and paired it up with a small sized thirsties hemp insert and the duo wrap again. No leaks. Remember the diapers above that were soaked in the front and dry in the back. The WHOLE diaper was soaked, including the insert! I bought 2 more of these diapers that day. The only problem we do have is that our 9 month old is fairly big and in 18 month clothing, so most of his jammies are 2 piece. The diaper is bulky (which is worth it to soak up all the pee) so the top of his jammie bottoms do run over into his diaper and frequently wick wetness.

We have several of these diapers, and they are great for overnight diapers! I also love that you can add additional absorbency. My daughter is a heavy wetter at night, so that is a must for us to make it through to the morning with dry pajamas. I gave this four stars instead of five because the aplix and elastic did wear out in just a few months. (To be fair, we did use them every other night for three months before it wore out, so it did get a lot of use. I replaced the aplix with snaps easily and also replaced the elastic, and the diapers are still in use today after 11 months of every other night use! I would recommend these diapers, but encourage others to just buy the version with snaps instead of aplix (velcro). They will last longer.

I bought one of these on sale just to try it out since I have been looking for a good fitted diaper. I think it is a great diaper! Super soft and cute, and let's face it, as people changing diapers all day long every day, it helps when we can have a little fun with it! I got a purple one and it is very pretty. So in my opinion, cuteness counts! :-)

I like the fact that the fabric wicks moisture away from my baby, so I will most likely be using this as a night diaper or on outings where I can't change a wet diaper as often as when we are at home. I LOVE the fact that it has a built-in sleeve where you can fit an insert for extra soaking power. Very cool feature. And it's perfect under a Thirsties duo wrap cover.

As for some folks saying "why not just buy the all-in-one", I think the point of using this fitted with a cover over it is so you won't have leaking. I know I personally have had bad luck with all-in-ones leaking messy poop right out both sides! So the fitted that has elastic around the legs and then a cover on top will SURELY hold in the poops. Totally worth it to not have to change an outfit due to leaked poop.

Lastly I have to say this, though not as a criticism, just a heads up- my baby weighs 14 pounds and she is nearly too big for the size 1 of this diaper (says it fits through 18 pounds). My baby has a long torso and chunky thighs, so I will need to buy the bigger size for her really soon. So try one on your babe before you buy a stash of these.

I love all the Thirsties products I have tried so far, and now I get to add this one to the list. :-)

And yes it's bulky but that's cloth dipes for ya!
