Product Description

Color: Aqua | Size: Size 1

Similar in feel and function to our best-selling Diaper Cover, Thirsties Duo Wraps are completely waterproof yet remain breathable, pliable, and very comfortable for your baby's delicate skin.  With the adjustable rise you will only need two sizes from birth to potty. Leg gussets provide advanced leak-proof protection and bindings are super-soft against your baby’s skin. Pairing the adjustability in rise with our signature leg gussets, makes this wrap the most versatile on the market. Whether your baby is tall or short, thin or chunky, this cover will keep those messes contained! Thirsties Duo Wraps are a very trim fitting cover. They are the preferred wrap for trifolded prefolds or trim fit diapers, such as our Duo Fab Fitted diaper. For bulkier systems and/or for nighttime double stuffing, we recommend Thirsties Diaper Cover, which has a roomier fit. The inside of Duo Wraps can be wiped clean between uses allowing for fewer wraps in rotation and greater affordability. We recommend one cover for every 3-4 diapers in rotation (excluding diapers with waterproof exteriors). Both hook & loop and snap closures are available on Thirsties Duo Wrap. While many families prefer hook & loop closures because of the simple, secure fit they provide, snap closures do have a few advantages of their own. They are pretty much indestructible and are more unyielding than our hook-and-loop closures, making them more challenging to unfasten for a toddler who prefers to go naked. The mission of Thirsties, Inc. is to make it easy and affordable for every family to choose cloth while simultaneously investing in our local economy and sustainable business practices. We are very proud of the fact that all Thirsties products are manufactured in Colorado, USA, by a group of very talented individuals, many of whom are moms who work in the comfort and convenience of their own homes. We delight in the opportunity to sell products that contribute to a happy and healthy start for your children while helping to minimize your baby’s first carbon footprints. Proudly manufactured in the USA

Customer Reviews

This diaper wrap works very well and is pleasant to look at.

Over all - I do recommend the covers - for use with both cloth and disposable diapers.

I think I prefer the snaps over the hook and loop (velcro)...they seem to hold better.

When you buy this, you only get a diaper cover. You will also have to purchase prefolds or inserts in order to use these. My son cries as soon as he is wet and wants to be changed so I did not have any leaks while he used them. The Velcro is easy to attach and the diaper with inserts are not too bulky. Using cloth diapers is great for the environment but what a lot of people don't tell you is that they are bulkier than disposables.

If you have clothing that "just fits" on your baby, using a cloth diaper will push it over the edge. These are pretty good and if you are new to cloth diapering, buy at least one and try it out. You could also experiment with different brands to see what works best for you. I liked these Thirsties, but also have Charlie Banana brands. I prefer the CB brands I have because they are "One Size" and I was able to use them on a newborn and can constantly adjust them as my son grows. These Thirsties Size 1s have a minimum weight of 6 pounds and a Max weight of 15 pounds so you will have to upgrade if your baby outgrows them.

I would still recommend them and you will save a lot more money using cloth in the long run.

* If you are new to cloth diapering, make sure to have a pail or water proof bag to put the soiled diapers in. Newborn poop does not smell as bad dried up, but dried soaked urine is pretty awful. If your little one is pooping solids, make sure you flush the solids down the toilet before you throw these in the pail, bag or washer machine. You do not have to pre-rinse newborn poop before throwing into the washer machine, but you can if you want.

I toss all my cloth diapers in my HE Samsung Washer machine, soaked with a 2 month old's breast fed baby poop and urine on them.

We are in LOVE with these new covers. for those who don't know Thirsties changed their hook and loop opening. They are HUGE now in size comparison and it makes it WAAAY easier to put it on a squirmie baby. these size 2s fit our 15 lb son if we set it at the smallest setting and put the aplix closures over top of each other.

I know that Velco can be considered a dirty word when it comes to diaper covers and those snaps are considered king, but I'm among the bunch who, while loving the security of the snaps, hated the bulk of the snap wraps and loved the sleek look of the regular Thirsties Diaper Cover in spite of worrying the Velco would pop off. I heard good things about the Hook and Loop, but wasn't sure just how it differed from regular Velco.

Seems the Thirsties people really upped their standards for the Velco. No, I haven't been using this cover for months, but I can definitely see a difference in quality and design on the closure. While I've been perfectly happy with my other snap-less Thirsties, I can see some wearing down. I'd expect this closure to last even longer. In keeping with the wonder of the duo wrap, this still has some snaps in order to help with sizing.

If you're altogether new to Thirsties Duo Wraps, they, in general, rock. When I started cloth diapering I was told to use Thirsties and nothing else. This advice has proved marvelous and I pass on the same advice. These are trusty, breathable covers that last and work. The leg gussets are the crowning glory.

Very pleased with this alternate to the other closures!

I got this for my grandson. We use one of the brands that has snaps, which can be a bit cumbersome so I ordered this when I had the chance. This is a nice cover and it has not leaked in the time he has been wearing it. The problem we have with this cover is that the front folds in so that the velcro rubs his skin. This isn't terrible, it can be folded back, but seems to be a design flaw. Perhaps when he gets a little older/bigger, he is five months now, this won't be a problem. I will update my review if this is the case.

You would use a diaper cover over a prefold or cloth diaper without a waterproof outer shell. This is basically a lightweight, waterproof outer shell. Cloth Diapers and their covers come in snaps or hook and loop- you'll have to decide which one you and your baby prefer. Snaps are neat, don't get caught up/torn up in the wash, don't fray or have sharp edges and are overall more durable than hook and loop. But - they are also more limited on adjustments, more care is needed when undoing a snap as to not tear the fabric and it's just a little more time consuming than the quick slap on/off of hook and loop.

This particular diaper cover is hook and loop, but has vertical snap adjustments - that's what makes it adjustable from 6-18lbs. It also has laundry hook/loop tabs - these are great so the hook is attached to the dedicated loops and don't get caught up on any other items when diaper is washed opened. Another nice and unique feature is the little pocket on the front/inside of the cover for you to slide your prefold into and help keep it in place. This is a very nice feature that is missing on other covers like the Blueberry ones.

Covers are nice because often times if baby didn't mess on it, it can be quickly wiped clean and reused again a few times. When wash is needed, they wash easily and quickly and dry very quickly as well.

In comparison to the Blueberry covers: I do prefer the softer/silkier/slightly thicker feel of the Blueberry covers. It's a little hard to describe, but when you're holding the two covers - the Blueberry does feel slightly of better quality. The Blueberry does not have the pocket inside to hold your prefold though. They both have leg gussets and both are made in the USA. Both are quality and well made diaper covers.

This is a very good cover and comes recommended.
