Thirsty Merc wont Disappoint you, August 8, 2010

Thirsty Merc has been around form a few years now and I was quite surprised to see no reviews for this album at all on amazon. People you are missing out on something fresh here. What a goldmine of beautiful clever songs,a true tapestry. I am not in the habit of writing reviews for music albums as you may have already noticed but after hearing their song ' Mousetrap heart ' from their latest album on local TV my curiosity was piqued. So here goes. I decided to listen to sample bits from their self-named album Thirsty Merc and then their second album ' Slideshow ' and then the latest album 'Mousetrap Heart '. Hell I bought all three albums. Best investment in music I have made in a long, long while. I wouldn't know what genre to label their music.Some rock, funk,a bit of rap, ballads, some very clever little jazz bass forays, haunting voice and keyboard playing. It's music that has so much heart and deep content that you feel a need to explore it on some other level. The headphones !!! and there are some really intricate stuff here hidden by these modern minstrels. A master storyteller.I will enter this review on their other two albums sold by amazon. Very impressed with this Aussie band. This style would appeal to a very wide audience. Extremely wide audience so throw away your defibrillator and plug into this.
