A professor at a small college is suspected of murder. His memories and mental meanderings about what was and is are wonderfully diverting.

It was a quick, good and thought-eliciting read.

I read it in a night and enjoyed going back and forth in time with Richard Croft--the poet, murder suspect, youth during the 50s and retired prof of the 90s.
