4.0 out of 5 stars Like Bond but with solidly American twist., April 18, 2006

(REAL NAME)
Everything about the story is SUPER and secret as well, so you know you're in for something that's purely entertaining. And for a book that's forty years old, what more can anyone asked.

The USSR was still around and the Cold War was still hot, and we have Nick Carter, also known as the Killmaster, the super agent who works for the spy organization, AXE, headed by a `mysterious' man called Hawk. It just gets better as every extreme character and event piles on. Clich? is the name of this spy game. The beautiful women are VERY beautiful and seductive. The villains are villainous, and the US and the USSR have to work together to avoid open conflict--this is what a James Bond novel is with an action packed--yet solidly American twist.
