If you haven't mastered the urdu alphabeth, this book is definitely not for you. Even if you master it, but you do not know the exact sound of the words suppose to be then it is useless too. But if you are already familiar with the words presented in the books and only wants to exercise and memorize them, this is the exactly right book for you. I said this because each word is translated directly to urdu scrip without any latinized sound (I mean reading it in international alpabeth).... And more over the urdu scrip is written the advance way... without short vowel of a,i,u. True that urdu script it is usually that way, but how can a beginner differentiate a word and decide which is the right sound..... the a, i, u sound if the word is not familiar yet? For example how do you know if the word is dad, dud or did? If only the complete vowel mark is written then it is not a problem for urdu beginners to read and learn the new words once they master the urdu alphabeth well enough.

This book give words about general expression, colors, flowers, days, months, season and direction, part of body, animals & insect and their sounds, vegetables, spices, fruit, numbers and such mathematical terms, time, food and drink, meal, ailments and nature. Too bad theres are no words about things you find in your home though, like bed, chair and such. But it is good enough exercise nevertheless.
