I read this delightful memoir in one sitting. It was like chatting with Jimmy Dean. His recall of dates and names is unbelievable. Whether you are a fan of country music or sausage or self-made success, you will be glad you spent the time to read this book. Well done, Jimmy and Donna Dean!

Quite a story from quite a guy. Wonderful walk down memory lane in a no-holds barred account of his life in West Texas and beyond. Jimmy Dean has too long been overlooked as one of the early Country Music pioneers and once its biggest star. And, he makes some pretty good sausage.

I've always been a fan of Jimmy Dean. I wish for celebrities like we had in the good old days. I was so glad to find this book. It was delivered so quickly. Thanks

I found the book to be very interesting. I like to know how people get there start in the business they are in. It's an interesting read.

This book was very interesting. Mr. Dean sure had a rough life growing up and didn't even have it easy once he became a star and started his sausage company. I had met Mr. Dean and while reading the book I could picture him sitting with me telling me the story.

I enjoyed reading the book very much. I did not really know much about Jimmy's early carear, nor when he got into the meat business. His story was very interesting and informative and did read like he was in the room talking about his experiences, in person. I always liked him and felt that he was an honest person, and the story backed up my opinion.

A great insight look into the life of Jimmy Dean. The king of sausage! Jimmy is responsible for the success and exposure of Jim Henson and The Muppet's. Big Bad John is jimmy's most famous hits. Read his life and you will be amused and entertained.

It is hard to review something I have NOT received yet. This was ordered on 11/21/08 and I have NOT received it yet. Please help!!
