This book may not be literary genius, but it is a fantastic account of a fan's journey. It brings an enlightening view of the fans that surround this amazing band, and a reminder of why this group of us is as enamored as we are. Jason's story was an inspiration to me, to get out and see more shows, talk to more people, and take more chances.

If you're a fellow Pearl Jam fan, stop reading reviews and buy this book already. You will enjoy, relate to, and be inspired by the experiences and adventures of other fans, including meeting several band members. The book has a wider appeal too, with elements of road trips, partying, relationships, worldwide travel, and that late-twenties uncertainty. The narrative flows well, more like a novel than a lot of non-fiction. I could hardly put it down.

I bought this book thinking it would be about Pearl Jam. Although it started out being about PJ, it ended up being more about friendship and the spirit of adventure as Jason follows PJ across Canada, the U.S., and Europe in an old Dodge van. He describes in vivid detail the interesting people he meets along the way, as well as the beauty that he finds in unusual locations. This book is a testament to living life to the fullest, and that good things happen to good people. I highly recommend it!
