By Jane Brown (Sentani, Irian Jaya Indonesia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: This Blue Planet: Finding God in the Wonders of Nature (Hardcover)
Janice Miller spoon-feeds the reader in short (two to four page) readable chapters which highlight the complexity and majesty of nature and the universe. Some very daunting topics in Astrophysics and Quantum Physics are presented in layman's terms. A physical scientist might not find it detailed enough, but the casual reader will find themselves stretched to comprehend the detail with which this world is constructed. Some of the topics (which range from quarks and atoms to black holes and trees) would have 'swampped me' except that Janice writes with such witty style. She MUST have a good sense of humor!
