If you love canoeing and wilderness adventure....you will enjoy this...over and over! This is NOT "how to", but a collection of 12 short films about a variety of canoeing experiences..from poetic "canoe dance" to wildnerness expeditions to daring whitewater and then some. If you long to go paddling, settling in with this DVD is the next best thing to getting on the water. When I need to relax, I watch "The Birchbark Man", the story of Erik Simulas summer long 1,000 mile solo birchbark canoe journey around the arrowhead of Minnesota. (Solo?, he did have a great dog with him!)

So awesome, it was one of the final straws that convinced me to quit my job and travel the world seeing great places and doing good things.

This is a great video for anybody interested in canoeing. It gives the viewer a taste of different styles of canoeing. This video will definately make you want to take your canoe out and hit the nearest water trail. The video quality is excellent and shot in HD. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this video to anyone thinking of getting into canoeing or has been canoeing their entire life. One really cool feature on this video is in the "extras" on the second DVD. Here the camera is attached to a slalom canoe to give the viewer a great perspective for this sport as you paddle and weave your way between racing gates.
