Very nicely done.,
By Donna K. "bookcrosser" (Long Island, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: This Christmas (Harlequin Superromance No. 721) (Paperback)
What a delightful surprise! This story is well-written, with realistic dialogue, and a nicely descriptive and detailed style of writing. The romance is believable, and the plot behind the romance was substantial and deep. These are complex and well-drawn characters, and their "fonding the birth parent" mission is peppered with Cherokee folklore and Oklahoma culture.

Anne Mather's Forbidden is a winner,
This review is from: FORBIDDEN (Harlequin Presents #221) (Mass Market Paperback)
From the back cover:
"I haven't come back into your life. James," Caroline said. She was shocked to discover that the position she had accepted as governess was in the home of the man she has spendt sic years trying to forget. Aware that nothing had really changed, that he could still create havoc with her life, Caroline's first instinct was to flee. Then she found herself trapped-by the dmands of his invalid wife. And by her own need of James. My take: For those of you who hate adultry I would advise you to not read this book.Althought the hero and the heroine did not sleep togeather until the very end of the book, there was kissing and declarations of love. This is one of Anne's winners thought. This story is well written without the blank dailogue that some of Mather's work has. |
