How do you create a masterpiece of modern metal? Is it a conscious effort on the part of the artists or is it something more organic – a confluence of events and moods, emotions and mechanics that all come together in the right place at the right time? That’s the question that comes to mind upon the first listen to Machine Head’s sixth studio album The Blackening. Guitars rip, drums pound, bass… Read more in Amazon's Machine Head Store

4.0 out of 5 stars Alcoholocaust is better than anything off of the Burning Red or Supercharger for that matter., April 3, 2007

Alcoholocaust is better than any song off of the Burning Red. I have no idea why this song didn't make the album, but believe me when I say this, it shreds anything off of the Burning Red, just that song alone. House of Suffering is a Bad Brains cover. It's ok, but Alcholocaust is worth the price of this alone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Machine Head - From This Day import single, June 15, 2000

This review is from: From This Day (Audio CD)
Excellent tracks on this CD. "From This Day" is one of the best songs on "The Burning Red" CD. Included on this import are two other songs which are also very good and are two which the majority of Machine Head fans probably have not heard due to their only being available on imports like this. Take this oportunity to purchace this single. You won't regret it.
