Book Description

November 1, 2004
This Endless Moment is a book for people on a serious quest for their identity. This book clears away the myths, half truths and misconceptions that keep us from living fulfilling, clear and meaningful lives. Using stories, illustrations and common sense advice, the author guides his readers to increasing levels of understanding and self-responsibility. From page 56: "Blind luck is a stupid thing to trust your life to. Having the life you want requires focus, dedication, and, first and foremost, an understanding of what, specifically, you want."

More About the Author

Wayne was born in Buffalo, New York in January of 1951. An only child, he quickly discovered a love of acting and public speaking. His sparkling personality and engaging delivery won him major roles in local theatre.

His interest in psychology and religion led him to Elmhurst Illinois, where he completed a B. A. in both areas (1973). He immigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1975.

In 1981, Wayne received a Masters of Divinity (M.Div) from the University of Toronto (Knox College.) He then enrolled in a Counselling Masters Degree, graduating with a Master in Pastoral Counselling (M.Th) in 1983.

Since 1983, Wayne has been in Private Practice in Ontario. His interest in Zen, coupled with his fervent belief in self-responsibility, has led him to develop a style of counselling he calls "Zen Bodywork Psychotherapy." Combining Bodywork and Breathwork, dialog and teaching, Wayne's approach allows his clients the optimum opportunity for personal growth and insight.

Wayne's expertise in Bodywork and Breathwork has led to public teaching events and media attention. Wayne was recently featured on Ontario's TV show, "Body + Health," teaching breathing techniques for stress reduction.

This Endless Moment (2005)

~This Endless Moment presents a profoundly simple, Western approach to life that even the most skeptical types would have trouble arguing with. It is written with a direct, matter-of-fact writing style, featuring short chapters and many stories and anecdotes. Readers will appreciate Wayne's quirky sense of humour, as well as his ability to always bring the reader back to the point of self-responsibility and 'owning it'.
~This Endless Moment is great read for those who want to begin a new path but don't have a clue how to begin -- and equally great for those who believe they actually "know it all."

Wayne has worked with executives and whole departments of major Canadian corporations. His aptitude for teaching conflict resolution, clear communication, and personal self-responsibility has won him kudos from all involved.

Wayne has devoted much time and effort to training members of non-profit organizations. From delivering keynote addresses to conducting training for volunteers working in Women's Shelters, Wayne is known for being able to quickly and effortlessly cut to the heart of the matter, bringing both encouragement and challenge to his audience.

Wayne is a gifted and multi-faceted speaker, teacher and presenter. He regularly receives consistently high marks for his insight, knowledge, and compassion.

5.0 out of 5 stars User's Guide to Life, January 4, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: This Endless Moment (Paperback)
I have had my copy of This Endless Moment for six years now. I have purchased numerous copies for family and friends. This book is a mostly, simple to understand explanation, of our mental attitude towards life, and towards other people in our lives. It gives us an understandable concept that paves a new path to a meaningful life, and gets us off the "I am a victim of this cruel and unfair world" path. And it does so much more. It is a great book for people in relationships, or before your next relationship. This book would have saved me much pain, had I absorbed its content prior to getting married. I blame Wayne for my divorce, because he didn't write it soon enough. ;^( Just kidding! I highly recommend it.

How does one review a Zen book? I mean, my experience of the book is shaded with my own perceptions and delusions . . . let's just say This Endless Moment is written by a relationship counselor who shares parts of his personal journey and uses examples from some of his clients to teach and illuminate in an entertaining, often humorous way. It's a goldmine of useful approaches and experiences that you'll want to read slowly, contemplating along the way how the author's observations may pertain to your own life and especially your relationships -- with yourself, with your mate, with the external world.
