I am a pianist and children's choir director for an ELCA congregation that uses the red hymnal. I purchased this because it had hymns that I love which are not included in the red or the green hymnals. This has become my go to resouce for fun hymns for the kids. It also has slightly different arrangements which the congregation enjoys and I find fun. I wish my church would transition to this hymal but that won't happen for many reasons. It's a great hymnal for anyone who collects them, church musicians, and anyone who just likes to play and sing hymns.
