Even as a non gaelic speaker you can appreciate the feelings with which each song is delivered. It brings to the forefront of your mind the true heritage of times gone by but not in a maudlin way but one to which you can be proud and rejoice in. Deserves global recognition for such a wonderful talented voice. My favourite track being Precious Days which is a real family affair, written by her husband about her two boys. Hopefully the new album will be even better if thats possible.

A wonderful collection of traditional and new material from Scotland. Mairi MacInnes has surely been blessed with a talent that would be very difficult to follow. The album contains both Gaelic and Engilsh songs and amongst my favourites are ' This feeling inside' and 'Precious Days'. One can only imagine that every Gael who listens to 'This feeling inside' must burst with pride. A truely magical sound!

I heard mairi macinnes singing at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo this year 2000 she was singing a song called Land of Light.I thought that she was brilliant.After the show my mum and dad brother and I met her and she was so lovely to chat to.We bought her solo album This Feeling Inside and we have been playing it ever since.I enjoy listening to it all but my favourite tracks are the Mouth Music because it is fast and the way she uses her voice performing it is amazing. I also like the title track This Feeling Inside it makes me proud to be Scottish and I'm so glad that I went along to the Tattoo to get an opportunity to hear Mairi, an added bonus to meet her and a real treasure to own one of her albums.

After hearing this woman sing I think I am going to go out and learn Gaelic. Her voice resonates through your soul. She is a very talented and beautiful artist. Mairi MacInnes has an honest quality that seems to come through in her music. She is the winner of many awards, and is a very accomplished Scottish singer from South Uist. I especially love her Gaelic songs. She has other very good albums like Ysbryd y Gael, The Feeling Inside, Gaelic Woman, Causeway, and Orosay also. ..Beautiful music from a very beautiful woman. -Eric P.

Land of Light is a great album that every fan of Mairi MacInnes should have but this is still one of the great albums. Pure Highland silk it is. She sings in English and Gaelic and the greatest song is THIS FEELING INSIDE. Mairi has recorded this song, her signature song along with now LAND OF LIGHT, in GAELIC (on GAELIC WOMEN) and WELSH for she is a red, white and blue lady of worth.

There are many fine artists and singers but none can top Mairi for spirituality, beauty of voice, sincerity and originality of song in English and Gaelic both. She is the Lady Nairne of today and one of the great ladies of the Scottish tradition.

All lovers of Scotland and the her language and music must own this album. Once you do you will want to buy every track she has ever recorded including TICKETYBOO her children's album with its nice Christmas song -composed and written by Mairi herself and sailing song! Oh, yes, clad in gold oor young Mairi Queen of the Gaeltacht. Air muir 'a air tir dileas gu bas!

mairi macinnes has a singing voice which is heavenly yet so full of warmth and sincerity. You feel that she is singing intimately to the listener.I heard her performing at The Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2000 singing her soulful rendition of LAND OF LIGHT, a new song for the Millenium which was truly stunning,the reason for buying her solo album I had to hear more of this spirit filled voice.THIS FEELING INSIDEis a gem, the voice of the indigenous gael speaks to you through the voice of mairi macinnes from her heart rending delivery of Precious Days, Fraoch a Ronaidh a piobrach song to the exciting vocals of her Puirt A Beul- mouth music, which makes you want to get up and dance. The title is my favourite track and makes me connect profoundly with my scottish roots.I would love to here more and more of this great voice and wish her lots and lots of success that she keeps touching people wide and far with her blessed voice.

She sings with pure soul,love and passion in whatever she sings
You warm more and more to this God given voice.
