Alyce Faye Bragg capures the essence of life in the hills and "hollers" of West Virginia and rural areas around the country. Her writing allows you to slip back to a simplier time and reminds you of what is really important.

I'm from the same area of WV, just about the same age, and her books make me soooooooooooo homesick for the "good old days". I have all she's written and am anxiously waiting for more. It's like taking steps back in time and having a good visit with old friends and old places. I could go on and on about what a wonderful job she does describing our lifestyle and attitudes toward things while growing up in a different generation......sometimes it seems like it's even a different world. Keep up the good work, Alyce. If you are from the hills of WV this is a MUST READ series that you will pass on to your children. That's how I got my first book...my mother gave it to me.
