This is an excellent first book of poetry from stephens. The work is almost apocalyptic in its haunting exploration of human relationships and the impossibility of reaching out for another's touch. A must-read for those interested in the cutting edge of today's literature. As the reviewer notes on the back cover of the book: "nathalie stephens' poetry vibrates with beauty and a dangerous, delicious, cut-glass tension.
