This album (great price!)does so many things right, which is rare these days. The melodies are infectious, the music is upbeat, bass bumpin'. The three vocalists take turns leading different songs, but they all contribute some pretty sick blending harmonies on each one. Lyrics are fun, sentimental, space/future-oriented. The style is, no doubt, what they call "futurepop" (the future of pop, I hope!)blending electro and pop and space and future. I listen to Super Stereo when I'm road-trippin, getting ready for a night on the town, working out, driving, throwing a party, cooking, cleaning - You name it! You can easily listen to the whole album straight through - a cohesive debut album for Super Stereo!

1. Life Passed Me By - (first single)
And for good reason! It's a pop hit...catchy, upbeat, great sing-along melody, good lyrical story, harmonies in all the right places, a hard-hitting chorus...it's got it all. From what I hear from other reviewers - this single also has a music video on MTV and VH1?!

2. Freaky People - (one of my favorites)
Quirky, sexy sing-talk verses of the female vox and a loving blend of harmonies for the choruses. Super funky bass line. Lyrics talk about having a "little freak inside" and hints that we all do...;)

3. On My Mind - (another fave)
Bass is just siiiick in this song! Male lead sings haunting/touching lyrics about being far away from his love (probably in the future in space) and wondering where she is and what life she had while he's away, but she's "always on my mind." Beautiful and emotional.

4. Dance - (FUN!)
Makes you do just what it says - DANCE - bumpin' bass, good times with this one.

Seriously this album is loaded with pop singles. Life Passed Me By is the single but you could take any of the songs and say that. On the same note, the album will play from start to finish with cohesion like any good album should. Super Stereo is obviously a new group, but their pop sensibilities are as keen if not more than any Hollywood veteran songwriters. Thank you Super Stereo for putting the love back into pop music. Now I wanna dance again. My favorites include, "On My Mind", "Go On", and "Live Passed Me By" of course :)

I saw Super Stereo live about a year ago and was so happy to get my hands on the band's debut album, This Is Future Pop. It's 100% ear candy. Great dance hooks and awesome vocals from Super Stereo's trio of vocalists. The record is solid from top to bottom.

I first ran across the video of the band's single, Life Passed Me By on Vh1.com. Loved it! So I had to see what the rest of their music sounded like. I have to say Super Stereo did not disappoint. I like this whole album! Really catchy Pop songs with great vocals and beats. If you haven't seen the Super Stereo video you should! I think it is pretty much everywhere now. YouTube, MTV, Vh1 etc.
