A Captivating History,
This review is from: This Land, This South: An Environmental History (New Perspectives on the South) (Paperback)
This Land, This South chronologically covers Southern environmental history in a thorough, well written and captivating manner. The evolution of the relationship between humans and the rest of Southern ecosystem is especially well covered and remarkably objective. The epilogue felt out of place but did not detract much from the reading. I agree with the common opinion that this book should be standard reading for those interested in Southern history.
