This CD is gospel, spirituals, African music, and creative innovation, and brought to life through the remarkably beautiful voices of Sweet Honey In The Rock. The music is universal--familiar, but not ordinary--and the lyrics profound and intelligent. I am in general not a buyer of gospel type music, but this is one of my all-time favorite CDs. Some of the songs are stunningly beautiful.

This stands among one of my favorite Sweet Honey recordings. "I Be Your Water" is one of thier songs that sticks in one's mind after hearing it. There is so much her to enjoy and to educate. I'd advise just about anyone to give it a listen.

This is, in my opinion, one of the best of SHIR's collections. You'll especially enjoy their forages into traditional African tunes. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves to listen to what magic human voices are capable of.
