I got this CD the day it came out because I was seeing them the next day as part of the 3 Doors Down, Staind and hinder show. I really like tis CD. The songs don't sound the same like many new bands. They are not heavy but solid Rock.

I also met the band after they plyed since they came out and signed autographs. Nice guys.

I found that several of the tracks are fresh against the rock legends who've released work in 2008. Make no mistake, Jet Black Stare will not find a place in your collection beside "Black Ice" or "Chinese Democracy." But, this has great flow through the album. By the time you've gotten over the popular Ready to Roll move into I'm Breathing, which is a song that will hold its on with anything on the Hinder or Nickelback albums.

Comparing the work across the board to Rev Theory, Shinedown, Metallica, Disturbed, Seether, and 3 Doors Down? I would relate this as best to a shining mix of Setther and 3 Doors Down. The song do not hit you with the clarity of 3 Doors Down. But, the rockstar aspirations are clear in this album of range. Fly has a catchy feel and makes you wonder how powerful it might be when played acoustically. Poster Princess holds it's own with class and without any of the Nickelback or Buck Cherry vulgarity. Its a respectable track which might not be played in over 18 establishments because its driven by a witty layout you could sing to a female without being labeled a jerk.

Go to JBS's homepage and their MSpace music player and hear some tracks if you need to make up your mind. Make this one a piece of your collection and don't feel like a schmuck when their follow-up album hits and you're none the wiser on "In This Life." Buy it.

This is one of the best new rock albums I've heard. There have been several new bands come out recently, and this is one of the best. They have a great variety of loud, heavy songs, and a few slower rock songs. A great album for a rock fan's music collection.

All I can say is I saw this band (Jet Black Stare) open up for Saving Abel and they blew me away! Their CD had not come out yet, but I bought it the day that it did. Ready to Roll is probably the hardest rocking song, but all the others are pretty good. If you want a new band to listen to then pick this cd up or download it. Then see them live! The energy and stage presence of their singer Rod Black will get you up with your fist in the air!

See this band live! You will truly appreciate their music if you do. The cd doesn't capture the energy in which they have on stage. I saw them at the Delaware St. Fair with Hinder, Staind, and 3DD. You would have thought they were the headliners! They really rocked. The cd is like most cd's where there are about 7 really great songs. A few are on the slower side but they all groove. I picked up the combo of this and Rev Theory and listen to them everyday.

Tasty riffs and great vocals. A very good CD by this band with some great songs. The only complaint is a few too many mid-tempo songs but they do a great job at these as well. Turn up the volume on the next CD because you know what your doing!

I bought this cd the day it came out as we had tickets to see them open for staind and 3 doors down, and I was not disappointed. Just as happy as I was with Daughtry's cd, and with Nickelback's latest, all the songs are good. You will not be disappointed!!!

far more than your typical rock band, one listen makes you want to buy the album. I recently saw them open on the 3 doors down/staind/hinder tour in hershey and they were great. buy this album, you won't be disappointed

I had never heard of this group before stumbling onto them here on Amazon searching for music by "Jet". Glad I discovered them though. This is a great collection of music through and through. Can't wait to hear more from them. Definitely one of the best musical discoveries for me in a while.

Heard 2 of these songs on nascar game and had to get the cd.not hard rock,not soft rock, just good old rock and roll.This, the debut album from Jet Black Stare, is a terrific first album from an up and coming hard rock/metal band. The initial single released off the album is Ready To Roll, and this song will get you feeling that way! It's a fantastic fast-tempo song that really gets the adrenaline going, and the drumming provides such a solid backbone to the song that it seems to keep on rollin' without any let up for its entire duration! I'm Breathing is another highlight track off the album. It is fair to say that some of the tracks on this album are not as notable as others, but remember this is a debut album! It will be exciting to see what steps this band takes next, and for now, if you're a hard rock fan and a fan of bands like Rev Theory and Shinedown, then check this band out! Get ready to roll with Jet Black Stare!
