This is a very cute, sturdy book. It is very small and compact, so I can throw it in the diaper bag and it keeps my two-year-old entertained for several minutes. I like that the movements on each page are sturdy, yet my son is able to manipulate them himself.

My niece loves this and it gives her the confidence to continue to learn to read. It's simple yet interactive. I love the format and I'm pretty picky.

Great Activity Book - Cover Questionable,

This book is great for little active hands. Its a Pop-up kind of thing (the moving parts of pop-ups, not the actual 3D stuff) all made of thick card board so its pretty indestructable. That is, except for the cover. I'm not sure what they were thinking. Its a single piece of cardboard, flimsier than cereal box cardboard. I'm not sure why they did that, especially since the reverse of the cover is the first page of the book. The rest of the pages (and back cover) are all thicker than even the sturdiest boardbook. I still give it a solid rating though - sometimes you just have to wonder what people are thinking.

Not as good as others in the series,

The only books my 14 month old son will look at are Bang, Bang and Munch, Munch from this series. He giggles like crazy when you "pop" the animals out. He did not however, get into This Little Bunny. It definitely does not have the same appeal as the other two we own.

Helps your squirmy reader focus,

This book (and the rest in this series) are wonderful. Both of my kids love them. My son would never let us read to them (disinterested, would wonder off) and these were the books that got him into reading (at around 15 months old) because he really loved all the "actions" and interactivity of the book. We have other interactive books, but for some reason these were the ones that really got my boy's attention and interest. Once he got into these books, we were able to read others together and now he loves story time.I recommend this book for any child, but ESPECIALLY if you're having trouble keeping your babe interested in storytime. |
