I love this album! Her songs are really great; I can listen to this album over and over and never get tired of it. The lyrics are so poignant, they give me chills. makes me want to hear more. Her voice reminds me of a cross between Edie Brickell and Sheryl Crow, but is still completely unique and like no one I've heard before. If you haven't heard Stacie Rose yet, you're missing out! She also plays live in NYC and Hoboken regularly, and is always a great show. My favorite songs are Swimmers and Slaves and Checkin' Out, but they're all good!

The first time I heard Stacie Rose was in a club in downtown, NYC. I bought the album immediately and haven't stopped listening to it since. This is the album you want to listen to all the time...lounging around, driving along the open road, hanging out with the girls getting ready for a night out. Her lyrics are graceful and beautiful and the music is blues/jazz/rock&roll rolled up into her own wonderful style. SWIMMERS AND SLAVES and YOUR GIRL are two of my favs.....look out Sheryl Crow!

This is definitely an album that I loved listening to from the first song to the last. I love her lyrics - poetic, yet I could relate to what she was saying. Not to mention her melodies that I couldn't get out of my head for the past week!!I highly recommend this album.
