4.0 out of 5 stars A Soothing, Relazing Compact Disc, November 28, 2003

In its latest recording, New Age Artists 2002 provide another, soothing, relaxing recording. The music is not all that drastically different from other 2002 recordings, in that the music attempts to transport the listener to another time and place. Though vocals have been used in prior 2002 albums, the use of vocals has been primarily to add to the sound. In this recording, there is one track which actually has words, and like many New Age recordings, the words in the track do not make a great deal of sense. Though the voice is appropriate for the recording, it is a bit distracting, but it does not ruin the recording.

Like 2002's other recordings, this music is best used as background music or something to put on the CD player while relaxing. I will have to admit, I find 2002's music most appropriate when I am stuck in traffic and getting stressed out. .

If I were to compare it to other 2002 recordings, I would rate it slightly higher than Chrysalis and ACROSS AN OCEAN OF DREAMS, but not as high as my all time favorite 2002 recording RIVER OF STARS.

4.0 out of 5 stars from Solo Piano Publications, October 12, 2003

"This Moment Now" is the eighth recording by 2002 (Pamela and Randy Copus), Real Music's best-selling artists in the US. As with their previous albums, the music is soothing, ethereal, and very beautiful. The craftsmanship is impeccable, but basically, this new album sounds very much like the earlier albums with floating vocals, flute, synth, and lots of open space. As music for relaxing, unwinding, or just to space out with, 2002 can't be beat. I just get kind of bored with their sound after once or twice through their albums. The concept of the album was to be about love, and as the work evolved, it became about the love between two people as well as the "great love that exists in all living things." (Quoted from the liner notes.) I do really like "Children in Time," a more minor-key piece with Pamela's haunting flute and a beautiful violin part - this piece seems to have a bit more substance than some of the others. "Dreaming of You" is also very lovely with a gentle piano melody over the wordless vocals and ambient instrumental sounds. If you like 2002's previous albums, you'll undoubtedly like this one, too, as it isn't much of a departure. Obviously very talented musicians, it would be fun to hear something really different from this duo, but I won't hold my breath. Success is working very well for them.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE ULTIMATE IN RELAXATION, January 27, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: This Moment Now (Audio CD)
If you are a 2002 fan you'll know what to expect. Dreamy, relaxing heart felt music.

You do hear snippets of Enya from time to time (but the dreamy swirling sound of half heard voices) only comforts you all the more. 2002 have in my opinion been a grown-up version of Enya. Calm, relaxing and comforting at the same time but with a little more meat on the notes. Enya, seems too languid and you spend half the album straining to understand what she is singing. With 2002, don't worry - your ears and your brain will understand without any difficulty the language of 2002's music.

I find the ultimate in relaxation is to take my Cd walkman down to the beach when I'm on vacation in Florida. Stretch out on a nice sunny day with the sound of the sea gently lapping the shore and 2002 gently playing in my ears. Sheer bliss.

This album "This Moment Now" is as good as "River of Stars".

Buy and enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Music to tell your friends about!, May 5, 2004

2002 is a group that is hard to go wrong with. I own Chrysalis, Across an Ocean of Dreams, River of Stars, Land of Forever, and This Moment Now. I do not have a favorite; every album of theirs that I own is equally good and worth buying in my opinion. If you like lullabies, meditational music, and music to relax to, you have found your jackpot. 2002 really helps you unwind. I use it to find my center right before going to sleep almost every night. No complaints here. Thank you 2002, I appreciate your talents!

5.0 out of 5 stars A breathtaking best from 2002, June 4, 2005
This review is from: This Moment Now (Audio CD)
I was thrilled when I heard my favorate "Relax To" music group, 2002 was coming out with a new cd. Then I heard there was singing on one of the tracks. I wondered, how could the best instermental group I know add Singing to their music???
How dare they dirty their good name with singing, right? WRONG!
Randy Copus has a fantastic gentle singing voice, and instead of singing 'over' the music in the song "Moment Of Love", his voice blends wonderfully with the song, and he sounds like he's singing from a place far off in the distance. Not so far you can't hear him, mind you, but rather like hearing someone sing as you drift off to sleep. Very pleasing.
And the other tracks are extremly enjoyable as well, (I absolutly love "Even Now" and "Life Is").
All in all, a great addition to any 2002 lover's collection, and also good for anyone who is new to this very talented couple. (Also, the bonus web page code and address enclosed in the insert gave me some VERY nice surprises) Also, my apologies for any poor spelling, it is very late while I'm writing this.

5.0 out of 5 stars More Beautiful Music From 2002!, August 1, 2005
This review is from: This Moment Now (Audio CD)
I own two cases of New Age music and can say that 2002 is the cream of the crop. If you love New Age music, then you will have to pick up some 2002. The question is, what titles? The answer is, just about all of them! I can vouch for the titles I own and I own This Moment Now, Chrysalis, River of Stars, Land of Forever, and Across an Ocean of Dreams. You can't go wrong with any of those.

I like this CD from 2002 as one that can be enjoyed after a hard day at work or just to be in that special relaxed place wherever you are. On a long drive, walking and listening with your Ipod. I have 5 of their CD's and this is my favorite. It has something for everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best New Age duo EVER!, December 18, 2003
This review is from: This Moment Now (Audio CD)
I can't express how much I love 2002's beautiful masterpiece music. I have ALL of their albums. The first album I bought was 'Savitri' back in 2001, and I was immediately entranced by the calming environment that their music creates in all of their albums. I often use their CDs to unwind from a stressful day at work after I come home and get ready to go to sleep.

Again, I highly recommend 2002 for a relaxing medium, as well as the New Age pianist Kevin Kern (I've got all of HIS albums too!). If only I can get these CDs autographed by the duo. It would be a great pleasure to meet them in the future.

4.0 out of 5 stars 2002 nearly perfect, January 6, 2004

Loved the CD overall. This is the 2002 I've come to expect. Minus one star because of the "Moment of Love" thing. Seriously, is that the poor man's Jon and Vangelis or what? Hated it. Otherwise, the CD was money well spent.
