About the Artist
Jason Walker was encouraged by Steve Harvey to have faith before his debut performance at Showtime at the Apollo. Walker not only survived, but he wrecked the infamously tough audience and won by a landslide. The Pittsburgh native has the chops of Michael Jackson and the soul of the divas who have influenced him: Chaka Kahn, Patti LaBelle and Aretha Franklin. Legendary dance music producer Junior Vasquez scouted Walker and immediately signed the young powerhouse vocalist to his label. Prior to its release, Walker’s debut album, This is My Life, has already charted three Billboard Club Play hits, with two consecutive Billboard #1’s: “Foolish Mind Games” and “Set It Free”. A leading music journalist recently commented that the album is packed with more potential singles than Michael Jackson’s Thriller album. NYC’s HX Magazine voted “My Life” 2004’s Song of the Year, and it marked the first time a debut artist took home the award. Jason Walker is wonderful and fantastic!! AMAZING vocals and great production make this for me the best album of the past year( and perhaps the year to come)!! I have been listening to it non-stop since I downloaded it back in early November. I can't wait to get my hardcopy of this cd. A white twinky boy with the voice of a female dance diva?! How queer and amazing. Jason Walker delivers some awesome dance hits, like only a big black female can...only he's not! Junior Vasquez productions are slick and on top of its game, and the bonus remixes at the end of the album are an added bonus. Get this album...you won't be disappointed. Madonna, get hung up on Jason! ;-)
