I am a huge Hillsong fan, but I am not biased by any stretch. I love to worship God and get into His presence, so I treat all this music the same.

I own many Hillsong and Hillsong United (the youth worship team from Hillsong church)albums. I recently acquired "This Is Our God" and after listening to it, I think this might be the best album from Hillsong's worship team yet.

the newest release from Integrity Media and Hillsong Music Australia (Pro, This Is Our God follows the release of Savior King, the last live-recorded worship album from Hillsong's worship team, recorded in 2007, and the youth worship team's I Heart Revolution album released in 2008. I liked Savior King, but my only complaint is it didn't have as many new songs. This Is Our God has a lot of new songs never released by Hillsong Music Australia. Ever since Joel Houston became the worship team leader and pastor (taking Darlene Zschech's place), adds a freshness to the variety of songs including Sing To The Lord, This Is Our God, High and Lifted Up, Desert Song, You'll Come, With Everything, and a other previously released songs like You Deserve and Healer.

Hillsong fans will notice that Darlene Zschech is missing from this album, and this is the only the second Hillsong album I can think of that doesn't feature her performing.

All I can say is this is a truly inspiring album! The music really ministers to me, and I can feel God's presence every time I put it on and crank it up! With Everything, Sing To The Lord and This Is Our God really touch my heart in a special way, as does Healer, as I have miraculously overcome many hurdles with physical and mental sicknesses.

However, it was a disspointment that former Planetshakers singer and bassist Michael Guglielmucchi lied about his cancer diagnosis and is now battling a pornography addiction. He was also recently investigated for misusing money donated to him.

As a result, present versions of This Is Our God do not include this song (Mine does, on early releases it's track # 8), which is too bad because deception or not, I think it's a good song and a real asset to this compilation. As a pastor, it's a shame he acted the way he did; he is supposed to adhere to a higher level of accountability and conduct. He is such a gifted singer and song-writer, he didn't need to lie about being sick, because his song touched me all the same.

I give Hillsong high praise for their ministry and how they touch people with worship and awesome music program. This Is Our God is an asset that I think will touch and transform a lot of lives. Even if you are not a fan of Christian music, if you are a believer, I reccomend this album. I think it will change the way you worship and open new doors for getting into God's presence.

This is another amazing and blessed worship album by Hillsong! The songs are truly inspired by the Spirit and you will be blessed by this album. I stopped listening to secular music a year ago and having multiple praise and worship CD's from Hillsong has done wonders for my walk with the Lord. By now many people know that track 8, 'Healer' was written by Mike Guglielmucci who at the time of the recording proclaimed to have terminal cancer. Mike and his family have publicly announced this was not true and many people have taken such an offense to it and rightfully so. However, our God is a God of love, and He still loves Mike and we pray that Mike gets the healing and restoration that comes from Jesus. In the meantime, I will continue to claim the WORDS of the song as mine and ordained by God. He IS MY HEALER!! He is OUR HEALER!! Mike is only a man, but the WORDS he wrote are true and I will lift my voice and proclaim that truth for me and my family. I hope you are encouraged and blessed by this wonderful album.

If you are a fan of Hillsong worship albums, this will not disappoint. I was looking forward to hearing the song "Healer," and it has been such an encouragement. It's a great album for personal worship.

This album is very clearly inspired. I have the mp3 download, and have been blessed.

There are 16 songs on this album, and they are all good. I especially like song 8 (healer).

Most worship albums have only a couple songs that will outlast the CD itself. Not so with This Is Our God, which features several songs that will stay with us for several years. Run, Desert Song, the title track, High And Lifted Up, and of course, Healer. An excellent CD.

A note about Healer: God has a long history of using people with major flaws, even bad guys who acted for the wrong reason, to bring his Truth to us. If we can love Abraham for his faith to God (even if not for his faithfulness to his sister, er, wife) or David with his heart after God (and Bathsheba) can't we love Healer even if the writer is fallen? Do we throw out the Psalms that were written by a murderer and adulterer? Healer is a song that is clearly a powerful song anointed by God.

Hillsong church has a special gift and anointing for bringing us into God's presents through the power of praise. We have watched the DVD over and over and and actually worship along. Later I was very sad to hear about Mike Gugliemucci lying about having cancer. It upset me at first, but in his confession he spoke on how he has been fighting an addiction to pornography. So now when I watch him sing "healer", I see him as a man crying out to God in his song. Right now he is suffering the consequences of his sins, but as Christians we need to forgive him as I know God has, an pray for him so God can use him again for His glory.

This is an awesome CD!!! Is there a live recording of this album? Some of the songs sound like they are cut off @ the end. This is one of the best worship cd's i've ever heard.

This cd is awesome...that's pretty much all I have to say! There is a good mix of some of the Hillsong United like Joel Houston and also some of the 'older' Hillsong team of Reuben Morgan and co as well as their youth team. Good mix of new songs too. I have enjoyed the cd a lot, and have been listening to it in my car over and over again.

The best of Hillsong, the best of contemporary Christian music. I love this CD so much, we bought the DVD set.

I went to Soul Survivor (UK) this summer and, as is the cliche, was blown away by the worship music. Of course, the difficulty with Soul Survivor music is finding a CD with all the best worship songs on it, which is a good CD in its own right.

And this is the wonderful thing with this CD - it has THE song of Soul Survivor 2008: Your Name High, which I can remember the audience humming like a memetic mantra and yet somehow has yet to get nauseating. There are also other amazing songs that really grow on you, such as the title track and songs such as Run and Stronger, which are profoundly powerful and are on a par with anything that bands such as Kings of Leon or Coldplay have done lately...

Of course, not all of it is perfect, and the CD suffers from two major weaknesses. The first is that the good songs up to track 10, rather eclipse the songs later on the CD, which become slightly run-of-the-mill.
The second weakness is not the fault of Hillsong, but is related to the whole 'Guglielmucci' scandal that broke at the end of August 2008. Track 8 (Healer) is an awesome track, but is marred by its writer having lied about his having cancer. It is almost as if every single note of its powerful resonance became poison in the ear overnight. Of course, it is forgivable, but that doesn't mean the song is absolved of its jarred, twisted nature.

However, these weaknesses are only 1) because the first few tracks are SO good and 2) because of track 8, which is still a very moving song (even if for false motives). Furthermore, in the words of Francis Bacon "There is nothing that is beautiful that does not have an aspect of ugliness about its proportion". As with the church, the beauty of these songs is made somehow more manifest by the fact that humans are flawed, rather than less. Maybe this is why Hillsong is so appealing - it is raw, human and soulful and I'm positive that its influence in Christianity can only be a good thing, in spite of supposed shortcomings...
