The title of this book, "This Splendid World of Yours" captivates the essence of it. I have learned to appreciate the splendor in my world. Some time ago, I yearned for something in my soul. This is my answer to this search. It started with regular attendance at the meditation classes which Ram facilitates at the Victoria School Center. The book sums up clearly the teachings and the meditation techniques. The connection with my Inner Spirit is like having a best friend. The connection manifests itself for me through feeling much more freedom. This, I believe results mostly from having more self-awareness. I can now regularly slip into the "Witness" mode and observe what is happening without getting too cought up in it. Thank you for this , loving guidance.

This is one of the books that has impressed me and Iam keeping it as my guide for self empowerement and also my journey within me. I have dabbed with lot of books on meditation, Ram has just got everything in one goblet & all we need now it drink this nectar and start our journey. His style of writing is very distinct, not much of the high sounding words, but very practical and easy to understand terms and given step by step guidance. Best thing about this book is that it appeals to every one, newcomer to spirituality, & also who has been in the arena trying to absorb all essence. Everything he says as a rationale, not just mere thoughts. Definitely if i can adhere to his teachings i will be find the bliss which all souls are looking for. I must thank Ram for sharing his wealth with us. Iam looking forward for his second book which will be my second step

The title alone irked my interest, and prompted me to read this book. Could this world with all its trials and tribulations be splendid, as suggested by the author? From my experience, this book has dramatically altered my outlook on life and living it. It has opened me up to the sheer joy and splendour of what lies within me. To know that all this is present within me,and the steps to attain it are easily laid out. I have learnt to conciously change any pessimism I may feel to optimism; to understand that obstacles to attaining that, such as anger and insecurities, I can remove by simple means, so that I end up a far happier and fulfilled person. The meditation techniques are very easy to follow. Maybe the greatest lesson the author has taught me is how to live life fully, with optimism, joy, inner peace, responding to situations and not reacting to them. If only I'd had this book earlier.

I have attended classes and meditation sessions with the author. From my personal experience, this book should prove to be a valuable asset in any home library.It is an excellent exposition given by Ram Varma in this volume. It is at once a reference book and a book that may be used to read for stimulation. With his years of study and practice, he has the rare quality with which he is able to penetrate into modes of thought that leads the reader to a desired spritual path. The book clearly shows that it is in the realm of every one's reach to connect with the Creator.The only requsite is the desire and discpline by the individual. I highly reccommed this book to every one.

After reading Ram Varma's "This Splendid World of Yours" and attending his seminars regularly, I have come to realize that he has had a major influence on the direction of and the perseverance in my personal growth, emotionaly and spiritually.

I had been in doubt of conventional doctrine and in search of "the light" for a long time, and my past was not unlike Ram's in many ways; but it was his continual exposure to new insights that has opened the door to a world of "inner seeing", an awareness of "self" in a completely different way. There isn't a doubt in my mind that this ongoing journey of self-discovery will continue to improve my attitude, awareness and emotional stability, and thus greatly benefit me personally as well as those around me.

I can recommend Ram Varma's book to anyone seeking further personal development and enhancement.

Most importantly Ram Varma has taught me how to live in the present moment. After practicing this, I have come to appreciate and enjoy every moment of my life regardless of the circumstances.
