Biography

Kris Adams was born in Georgia into a music loving family. She lived in the southern states and in Germany before settling in the northeast at the age of 12. Her first singing memory was in the car with her parents, singing along with the radio to "Walk Right In" (as sung by the Rooftop Singers in 1963).

5.0 out of 5 stars Energetic, Powerful, Melodically Smooth, and Dynamic!, July 13, 2000

This review is from: This Thing Called Love (Audio CD)
Kris Adams's album "This Thing Called Love" demonstrates an appreciation for harmonic and melodic jazz that combines to give us a melodic gift. Ms. Adams's talent is evident with her dynamic ranges and vocals in this album; very rare will you find a Jazz Artist with a crisp and breathtaking voice that takes a mind of its own. This artist is able to that, and her sense of balance and structure further enhances the quality of her own CD. I feel her talent and gifts that she graciously shares with the music community has been blessed and passed down by other well known artists, and I believe, with the success of this album, that Ms. Adams will have a tremendous effect and inspiration for all future artists that will come our way into our 21st century. I strongly recommend anyone who is interested in searching for a voice of modern jazz to buy this album; they surely won't be disappointed.
