If you don't like Hanson, and perhaps you are still dreading another 'Mmmbop', fear not. These guys are back, and in a time were the BSB and NSync reign, these guys are ready to show them whose boss. With a guitar charged chorus, smooth piano intro, and out-standing and profound lyrics "This Time Around" should be come one of the defining songs for Hanson's career. You can tell by listening to "This Time Around" the boys have taken their long break, and learned all they could. "Love Song", also on the new album due out May 9th, is sweet and solid with luring instrumentation that wraps you up and floats you away. I predict a long and steady future for these three multi-talented guys. :o)

close your eyes and open your ears AND mind. Imagine for a moment that this is NOT the teen trio that sang MMM BOP. The song is definetly a pop tune but it's edgier than the Hanson of yesterday. I got this song for my daughter....she's into those BOY BANDS....but it is me , who goes around singing this tune all day. I can't get it out of my head. It is well written lyrically, but the composition is the thing that gets you hooked. What great talent these kids...yes, they ARE kids...have. If the CD is as good as this first single, I guess I'm going to have to change my tune, so to speak. The song is worth a try, even if you didn't like them the first time around.

This Time Around (the song, not the albium) is not about what music today seems to be about (ie- touch me here, touch me there; oh baby oh baby; yeah [read that like the girl from "ten thing i hate about you: really bland and dry]) The first verse, is actually about war. (listen to me carefully now-->) This song has a very inspirational message behind it, infact it really reminds me of the story behind "Hero" by Mariah Carey-- although it sounds nothing like it. If you like REAL music (ie-- real instruments and real musicians on a track) you'll love This Time Around.

Take Hanson for what they are: musicians. Nothing More, nothing less. This Time Around proves that with an "in your face" attitude.

"This Time Around" is a and upbeat song and has a good message, Taylor's vocals are especially matured and Jonny Lang's guitar licks near the end are cool. A more rock-type sound works for these boys but the second track on the single, also on the upcoming album proves that they can do ballads just as well! "Love Song" is a beat-ballad with awesome vocals and the experimentation with different drum loops in places really adds to the song. If you're wary about Hanson because you didn't like their sound back in 1997, buy this single, listen and be ready to buy their album, of the same name on May 9, 2000!

Although, still holding on to their teeny-bopper image and style, their sound is becoming more mature. Voices have changed, melodies have become more complex, but they still hold on to their brotherly harmonies that made their sound on their first couple albums. Jonny Lang's performance is hidden because of the nature of Hanson's music, but a nice listen-to, anyways.

I first heard this song on @mtv week and I immediately loved it. This song is so soulful! I have never ever liked Hanson before in my life but I am seriously considering buying this CD when it comes out. It is so refreshing to hear teenage musicians that write, play and sing their own music. Congratulations to Hanson on a great song! (By the way, I am not a "teenybopper," I am 26 years old!)

This is a very good single. It contains the title track off of Hanson's album "This Time Around" as well as a soulful ballad, "Love Song". I'd really recommend buying the full cd, but if you're low on cash then this is a good start. "This Time Around" is one of the most awesome songs I've ever heard. It begins slowly, but pretty soon it picks up and starts rocking the house. It has a very strong message about fighting for what you believe in, once again proving that the Hanson brothers are wise beyond their years when it comes to writing lyrics. The other song is a very sweet, heartfelt ballad. If you remember in the home video "Road to Albertane", Isaac was shown with his guitar singing part of a new song. That song soon became "Love Song". It's one of the sweetest songs Hanson has ever written. Overall, this single is awesome, but I'd recommend purchasing it at a store instead of online, because it's usually about $2 in stores.

No one can deny that boy bands and Disney bands are dominating the music scene, including the rock scene! I never thought that I would get used to it and I definitely never thought I'd own anything by Hanson! Then I heard this time around & loved it.I convinced myself that this was due solely to the reason that they had Johnny Lang play guitar on the cut. But as I listen to it, it's definitely more mature than This Time Around or any prvious radio cuts! I still don't have. . . the whole CD, but at least with their newer music, I'm getting closer!

I've heard many songs that I deem worthy to be my favorite song, and when I heard the B side to the single TTA I immediately felt goose bumps. The lyrics are so endearing and even though I was hearing it for the first time, I found myself singing the song. This cd has found a permanent home in my computer disc drive (until their new CD comes out in May).

Hanson's new single "This Time Around" is awesome! It is one of those songs when you listen to it once you can't stop listening to it! I highly recamend it! I am completly blown away by how talented that Isaac, Taylor, and Zachary Hanson are. The song "Love Song" which is also on the 'This Time Around' single is an amazing song! To describe the 'This Time Around' single in just one word would be 'WOW'!
