Not knowing about the import version having more tracks, I went ahead and bought the U.S. version. Well...it made a great gift when I came across the import. The two non-u.s. tracks are just as good as anything on the rest of the album. Smile and Lonely Again are both upbeat songs, well worth the money, and Lonely Again seems to end the album better than A Song To Sing does. Absolutely recommended for hardcore Hanson fans (which I reluctantly seem to be becoming).

Hanson is a very talented bunch of guys. I have been a fan since MMMBop! I bought the Aussie verison of This Time Around b/c of the two extra tracks, and it was soooo worth it! Smile and Lonely Again are two awesome songs! I would have liked to seen them on the US version, but oh well. And to anyone who says this album is OK, mediocer, alright, there is something wrong with you!

This is a great album and worth the few extra bucks I had to spend for it. I already had This Time Around the USA version, but I wanted the extra tracks. All the songs will just blow you away. Hanson never ceases to amaze me with their talent and ever-maturing sound. Some groups and bands will make almost exact replicas of their old albums and try to pass them off as new material; Hanson produced an album that negates all of those other groups. Their sound is fresh and new, but still reflects their style. I recommend this album to everyone, young and old. Even if you were not a fan of the original bubblegum pop album Middle of Nowhere, you will find yourself enjoying their new rock sound. This CD is amazing, of course I would not expect anything less from Hanson.

Unfortunately, during their too long absence from the airwaves, many of Hanson's fans devolved to the likes of Britney Spear, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, etc etc etc...and those who listened to MMMBop back in '97 and pronounced Hanson as "gay girls" are too close-minded to give this album a fair listen. The boys have matured so much since Middle of Nowhere, and musically, it shows. Maybe "This Time Around" wasn't the best choice for their first single. If they had released something like "In the City" or "Hand in Hand" they might've converted a few more fans. For the most part, this CD sounds nothing like the pure pop of Middle of Nowhere. If you didn't like Hanson then, try This Time Around. If you loved Middle of Nowhere, chances are you'll still love This Time Around. And, one last thing, buy the import CD with the extra tracks. I went to Europe last year and found a copy with "Smile" and "Lonely Again." THEY ARE WORTH IT, trust me!

the cd is wonderful. the songs bring flashes of old school hanson mixed with gritty not-so-mediocre tunes. taylor hanson has a lot of soul. i was really happy with the extra non-us tracks. lonely again and smile do nothing but poprock it up to end the cd. very good cd.

I own the US version of this album, but decided to buy the import to hear the other 2 unreleased tracks. Wow! They boys really ARE talented. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise unless you have listened to the album yourself.

I loved Hanson since i was 10 yrs old!Now i'm 13 going on 14 and i still love em' to death! This album is soooo great!You can play this cd and not have to press the skip button once!It is soooo worth paying the extra money for those extra songs!you'll love it.My best friend hated them but when she listened to my album she liked them so much she went to the concert at the warfield in san fran.!it'z awesome! one of the best . it's totally different from middle of nowhere!.You'll really rock out when you listen to this cd!

Well, everyone knew it would happen one day, it took a few years but...Hanson has returned! Their new album is much more mature, in both the sound as well as the material. The album Hanson released previously in their careers (Middle of Nowhere) was a little more on the "poppy" side, it was up beat and happy; and that's what people wanted. This new album has gone in a totally different direction all together. It isn't as "poppy", but is just as enjoyable...if not more so. The Hanson brothers have definitely grown in their musical talents and abilities. The sound that they are producing has evolved immensely. "This Time Around" is an excellent addition to any cd collection.

hanson has done it again! this cd is great and it shows a more mature hanson. hanson is going to be around for a LONG time if they keep writing songs like the ones on this album!

Hanson has shown amazing and delightful maturity with their second album! The growth is evident in all their lyrics, compositions and vocal talents. The bluesy influence is apparent, overlaid by rock and some pop . This is a band to follow. They will prevail and become legends in their own time.
