Before I get into this review, Beanie Sigel said this to Mtv and I quote "I was probably only like 80 percent of really getting into my zone on this project, but at 50 percent, my 50 percent is better than people's 100 percent". Beans basically had to rush the album.

Now on the review,

1. Intro (feat. Oliver Laing)
The album starts off with a solo track from Oliver Laing singing about Sigels life. Beans should of most definitely rapped on the intro, this is a R&B song that should not start off a Hip Hop album. I wasn't feeling this track

2. This Time (feat. Oliver Laing)
Beans speaks on some some things people said about him as he spits "Some say I still got it/ some say I dont/ but I say what I got to prove to you chumps",and he also talks about his struggles "I went from caviar dreams to champagne sippin'/Back to Four Lokos, four wings fried crispy". This song should of set the album off, dope song and a good hook from Oliver Laing.

3. That's All I Know (feat. Akon)
This song is basically talking about the streets is all he knows, just talking about what goes down in the hood. Akon on the hook, doing his thing as usual.song is ok.

4. Expensive Taste (feat. Corey Latif Williams)
The song title explains the songs perfect, Beans likes the more luxury things in life. Hes enjoying life, having fun this time around, Latif did a nice job on the hook. The beat is laid back, I can see this being a single. At the end of the song Beans said hes two stepping in the booth, which is kinda funny cause I can picture him doing that Lol.

5. Kush Dreaming
Sig is rapping in some type of weird way in the first two verses. I don't mean to nitpick but in the second verse he says "Girls run the world/ thats what Beyon say/ were ya destiny lies thats Beyonce" and he whispers when says Beyonces name which came off kinda awkward. The beat does have a dreamy type feel to it, and I like the sax in it. I can understand why its called Kush Dreaming, this song is dope.

6. Bang Bang Youth (feat. Junior Reid)
This sounds like the old Beans to me, just straight hard beats and hard rhymes. One of his best songs on here, he is talking about the younger kids that's running around wild, not caring about nothing. Junior Reid provides the perfect hook.

7. Bad Boy Mack (feat. JT Roach)
This track is awkward as Sig is making former Bad Boy artist references, I do not like the hook by JT Roach on here either as it goes "Im a bad boy/ I do bad things/ I start trouble". Not feeling this at all

8. No Hook
Beans is going hard on this track, the crazy thing about it is that he uses that same formula as Jay did by saying "I don't need no hook for this s***".

9. The Reunion (feat. Omillio Sparks, Young Chris, Peedi Crakk & Freeway)
I'm pretty sure everybody heard this track by now, it was the first single off this album. State Prop is back, well not all members but most of them! Everybody killed it.

10. Sigel Is What They Call Me (feat. Sean Anthony Francis)
I'm not feeling this at all the hook is really annoying on here, the way hes singing..its like in a pimp type voice and Beans sounds like hes just bored rapping on this.

11. Dangerous (feat. Young Chris & The Game)
This track sounds like it was inspired by Pac, which I have no problem with. I would of liked Young Chris to drop a verse but he just does the hook. The Game shares the third verse with Beans, and he sounds laid back, less aggressive than he usually is but still drops a dope verse. This is my favorite song off the album.

Overall this album is a disappointment, from the lack of replay value to Beans constantly using Biggie lines and mentioning him is ridiculous. I put this on the same level as "The Solution" album he dropped back in 07, it might even be worse than that album. Sig is one of my favorite rappers of all time, but I can't cosign this album as being good. Its a some tracks worth checking out though. If your a longtime Beans fan like me then you when hes focused hes a beast, and hes just not focused on here I understand he had to rush the album because hes going back to jail soon, but he also rushed "The B Coming" album and thats a personal classic to me... I give this a 3 out of 5

Following the dope Broad Street Empire mixtape that was released earlier this year, Beans is back with his sixth studio album. Sadly, this album doesn't live up to the standards Sigel has set on his previous albums and it sure as hell isn't a proper follow up to 2009's The Broad Street Bully. There's a couple of dope songs scattered around on here, but they're surrounded by a bunch of mediocre ones.

I honestly feel like this album was doomed from the start. Beanie knew he was going to get locked up so he wanted to push an album out to hold his fans over. While it was a nice thought, I would have been happier if he left us with the Broad Street Empire mixtape. That mixtape wasn't perfect, but it was definitely more consistent than the content on here.

The album starts off with an intro that is supposed to be dark, but it just comes off as boring. After that the album's title song comes on and it sounds like this album has a chance at being pretty good, but once you reach track four, "Expensive Taste," it starts spiraling out of control. Majority of these tracks lack any real energy or substance. There's a few songs like track six, "Bang Bang Youth," that are actually discussing something important, but most of these songs hold no real value.

Then on track nine, "The Reunion," we have a State Property track where someone made the stupid decision to censor it. Why? None of the other songs on here are censored, so why do it on the song that had the potential to be the best on the album? It just makes no sense to me.

Standout Songs: "This Time," "Bang Bang Youth," & "No Hook"

Overall Score: 4/10 - I wanted to like this album, and Sigel had the right idea, but the end result is a very mediocre record. Hopefully Beans can do his time, get released, and create another dope album. This just didn't do it for me.

The whole gangsta rap thing is a bit played out but this album is enjoyable. It's nothing that I'd have in heavy rotation.

The man is officially back now. no more playing around. if i could tell this man that state prop was needed, here it is. never mind the dash guy who gave up, never mind the west guy that is still relavent but steals beats, never mind the z guy who promoted a dynasty but ripped it apart in our face and said take it or leave it. if you keep it up i will support you in tjhese hard times and im pretty sure nine hundred thousand other guys will too.

Around the time that I made this purchase, I also purchased Kanye West's new CD, DMX's new CD and Lupe Fiasco's new CD...This Time is by far the best! I am still enjoying it. Thanks for asking!

This Time is a bit of a mess, sounding like an uninspired group of tracks concluded with an abrupt ending. Realistically, I did not expect much from this album so nothing is a surprise. The production is uninspired and rather lame sounding. There is a variety of unknown producers (or at least I do not recognize them), delivering an unpolished sound with weak samples, a lack of solid melodies, and raw-sounding drums. Moving on to the lyrics, there is not much of an improvement here either. The quality of lyrics and flow has changed over the years and Sigel remains in the past. He delivers a decent performance with an average flow and a lack of complexity, keeping a street appeal. This one definitely falls below the mark.
