I can't say that I am happy with the new direction Evans Blue has moved to, however I can say that I could not fight myself liking this song. It is a great song and had to buy it.

Ive always liked Evans Blue, its melodies and instrumentals. When I had first heard "Sick of It"and "Erase My Scars", I noticed it sound somewhat different, the voice, yet so similar but different. I did research questioning myself "Did they get a different lead singer?" At my suprise, yes they did, and while I usually believe that the departure of a band member in most cases ruins a bands chemistry; this time its better in MY opinion, Chandler is definitely a perfect fit for Evans Blue. His melody and screams are great for Evans Blue. This new tune "This Time it's Different" sounds awesome, and it is more upbeat, more on the positive side; atleast that is how I interpret it. Though Chandler isnt Canadian ,most of the Canadian music scene seems to be on the more positive/upbeat lyrics side (Thousand Foot Krutch, Skillet, Fireflight), which is something I am drawn to unlike a lot (but not all) of American bands which focuses on negative and depressing lyrics (and I am American). I hope Evans Blue new album has more upbeat songs like this new tune, or else I wont be downloading any of it.....
