A Book That Captures The Soul...,
By
This review is from: This Time Forever (Mass Market Paperback)
I've read Kathleen's books for years and they just get better and better BUT this is my all time favorite book. There is something about this book that just captures the reader's soul and draws them into the storyline. I have read this book hundreds of times and every single time I can never put it down. The intricate way the storyline is interwoven keeps the reader on their seat wondering what the next move will be; while the chemistry between the hero and heroine is so obvious it brings tears to one's eyes watching them fumble their way along to each other - I've recommend this book to all my friends and family over and over. Everytime I get the same response, "That book is marvelous! I don't usually read romances but I LOVED this book! etc.". I've yet to receive a negative response about this book. Truly, I believe this is Kathleen's greatest piece of work.

Not your average cookie-cutter romance!,
By Chris Cummings (OH) - See all my reviews
This review is from: This Time Forever (Mass Market Paperback)
I found "This Time Forever" to be a very satisfying and refreshing romantic read. The characters of Susan and Cleve are three-dimensional - very real, very human, and, in ordinary circumstances, perhaps even unremarkable. It's the extraordinary circumstance which bring these two together -- Susan, a white woman, serving on a jury that convicts Cleve Black Horse, a half-breed Indian and former rodeo champion, of murder -- which sets the stage for a remarkable and touching story that will stay with you long after you've read it. Susan tries to cope with the knowledge that she may have helped send an innocent man to prison; Cleve, wrongly accused, has to pick up the pieces of his shattered life and learn to forgive and trust. Another extraordinary circumstance brings Susan and Cleve together again, and the seed of bitterness slowly and sweetly blossoms into friendship and then love in a most natural way. A beautifully touching and unforgettable story.

I don't usually read romance novels, but something about this one made me pick it up and read it. I'm so glad I did! The story is engrossing, the characters are interesting, and the writing is great. Rarely am I this sorry when I finish a book...but I also couldn't put it down. So romantic, so well-told, so satisfying!

Her Best Ever,
By A Customer
This review is from: This Time Forever (Mass Market Paperback)
I could read this story over and over again. What fabulous characters. Cleve is a stronger man that he believes, trying to deal with prison, then what to do with his life after spending time in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Susan just wants custody of a boy who is, in all important ways, her son.The story is so well written that you don't ever want it to end.

I am not the type who likes realistic elements in a story , but even though this one has realistic elements from life , i really enjoyed it. The characters are lovely written and their bumping into each other causes you this anticipation to see what will happen next.

This book is an emotion-filled treasure! I am a HUGE Kathleen Eagle fan. I find she has the greatest romances EVER with strong... meaning loyal characters. The struggles are many, but you never doubt the love the characters feel for one another! Cleve and Susan were unforgettable! Another must-read. Write faster, Kathleen Eagle!

A must read!,

This review is from: This Time Forever (Mass Market Paperback)
This book is one of the best books I have read in a long time. I have encouraged everyone I know to read it. The characters are well thought out and pulled me into the story right away. The story also makes you think about times past and "what if's" of history. If you enjoy being entertained, while learning, this is a definite must read!

This Time Forever by Kathleen Eagle
cleve finds a dead body in the mens' room and the hitchhiker is gone. he is a rodeo cowboy and got a flat tire, bashed his front end of the truck and walked to the town. he got a ride and they stopped at a bar. he had a few beers and tried to get somebody to tow his truck in to fix. the other guy had a bunch of money and made sure everybody saw it. they pick up a hitchhiker and after a few more beers stop by a rest area and use men's room. cleve waited in the truck for them, 3 hours later he wakes up and find dead body of the driver. his cell won't work so he drives the truck to nearest town to notify the police. susan is on the jury. she hears his story and tries to figure out what happened with only his testimony. she is an emergency nurse who spends a lot of time in neonatal unit, she's in love with 2 lb infant there and follows him to his next Indian home. later he is released and she is attempting to adopt a child. Love to read about Indian traditions.

Intelligent and well written,

Of all the books of this genre that I purchase from Amazon this is one of the best. Kathleen eagle writes of the American Indian peoples with sensitivity and respect, horn no doubt of her close ties with them through her own family. This too was a well written story with an unusual relationship between the two protagonists. It is obviously well researched and as always in her books, draws you into the nit yet resolved conflicts in American society between the first nations and those that took their land. Compared to other books in this genre this one stands out as well written and has intelligent dialogue, so rare in this type of novel! I would thoroughly recommend it to readers, it is a moving love story.
