4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely one of their best........, December 13, 2010
This review is from: This Time We Mean It (Audio CD)
Take heed: this is now available as a two for one set. This Time We Mean It/ R.E.O. are available right here on Amazon, so get it! This Time We Mean It is one of the five REO albums everyone should own. That is, it is their fifth album, and their first five albums were great. The material is strong and does not have much in common with a lot of the pop drivel that the band turned out after Kevin Cronin returned on R.E.O. in 1976. I'm not saying everything they have done with Cronin has been bad, definitely not, he was on T.W.O.; it's just that I think they rocked harder and kept more of the blues/boogie focus with Murphy and with Luttrell on the first (and also their best) album. This Time is worth owning.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Rock, January 21, 2008
This review is from: This Time We Mean It (Audio CD)
I've have found out through the years that people absolutly loved or hated Micheal Murphy on vocals,I loved him,and thought that all Kevin (pop) Cronin brought to REO was AM listeners,in other words he made them a pop rock band, but even though this charted the best out of his three albums with REO,I always thought it poor effort after "Lost In A Dream".I bought all three when first released on CD,and still to this day, with maybe the exception of "TWO" are my favorite REO albums.
