Incredible,

This review is from: This Too Shall Pass (Audio CD)
This Album is just wonderful, period. I've had this CD since 2002 when I was in middle school, and now being a junior in college I still listen to it all the time, despite the 7000 other songs I have accumulated on my iTunes in the past 9 years. This band was incredible live, and I was very disappointed when they broke up way back when in 2004 or so. It's unfortunate they didn't really stay together for that long and get their name out there. They would have hit it real big if they had just had the right connections. The lead singer/bassist Mac still has a great voice and sings with passion. His mom, the drummer, is sick. Every track is quality. Buy this album if you haven't heard it, it'll stay on your iPod for years to come.

The music of Brevada is hauntingly beautiful. Most of the songs wrap themselves around me and cover me with their emotion. This connection between myself and the music is one that only few songs can attain, but this CD is full of powerful songs. I'm saddened to learn that they broke up years ago, and hope that another artist can take something from this approach to music.
My favorite songs of the CD are: Legend of Everyone When My Stories are Forgotten Silver Shade in White Urgency Search on IMEEM for the songs and you will find them so you can listen to a full preview.

First of all, Brevada broke up a couple of months ago and it's a damn shame too. They were a very interesting band and they put on some captivating shows when they were together. For no other reason, buy this cd to hear some really touching vocals. The lead singer, Mac, has a voice that holds emotion and a kind of desperation in every single note. His voice is wonderfully vagrant, but it never comes close to being overpowering. I'm going to go ahead and compare his vocals to Jeff Buckley in the sense that both their voices make you feel, not just hear, what is being sung. As a side note, the lead singers mom is the drummer for this band. Go ahead and laugh but she can really hold her own behind a drum kit, I'm not kidding. She's solid as well as the rest of the band too. It baffles me to think that these guys never were able to develop a bigger name for themselves outside of S.C. but if you happen to have wondered upon this webpage, do yourself a favor and buy this album because it's got some really great music on it; Beginning to end. I enjoy this cd just as much as OK computer, Grace, or any other cd I own for that matter.
